I rather like the idea that Buu could have been some Lovecraftian horror spoken of in legend in parts of the universe.

Well, it feels like everyone's hype and excitement for this film just hit a new low. Which is funny, since it felt like it hit a new high when those three pages were linked here only a few hours ago. It looks like things of a similar nature to those tidbits he tossed around in recent interviews are starting to make their way into actual content.

I'm still hopeful. I'm sure it'll still be a fun movie at the very least. There are still many elements that we're unaware of yet, such as how Beerus and Whis are involved. I'm looking forward to seeing more comments from the cast and Toriyama himself. It'll be interesting to see if retains the philosophies that he wrote BOG with in this movie.

So let me get this straight...all of the current madness in this thread is because we found out that somebody who didn't look like he'd amount to anything more than a fodder hencman to begin with dies early, and that Frieza does what every character in the history of ever in DB lore does by getting as improbably strong as the plot demands by training?

I'm ok with him knowing about Buu. I mean, Vegeta was aware of the stuff that was going on during the Buu Arc while he was dead, and as for Freeza's men knowing about him, I can totally see them setting up some kind of satellite or something keeping an eye the place where the leaders of their organization were killed.

I personally like the idea of Boo being a fairy tale or myth to Freeza. Something he didn't know existed. Though how come Beerus and Whis don't know Boo? Maybe cause if they did, they'd waste the creature?

I think Wiss is the only one who truly knows everything, with that staff. Not only knows, he can reproduce the exact scene... The fact Wiss didn't say anything about Buu is because... There's nothing to say about. Until this point, of course.

Who said they didn't know his name? They might just not have known his appearance (or at least that appearance). It's certainly possible.

I love how everyone seems to have given up hope over one little translation of a summary. It's crazy.

It's so strange. Vegeta killed a lot of Namekians and yet, he revived. He killed a lot of humans, died, went to Hell and yet, he is revived as a good person just later on.
Well, if that's the case, I wonder how he observed Kakarot's transformation into Super Saiyan 3 in Hell.

Freeza IS a prodigy though. So if his power was the biggest of the galaxy with him not training, it makes sense his progress would be way way farther than most if he trained. I think the disappointment will be if he trains for like a month and obtains God Ki, as that's too much of a plot-hole. They can always have him resurrect and then keep a low profile while training for like a year or so. But I don't know.

In a week Goku went from weaker than Vegeta to stronger than Ginyu, and he had trained a lot.

Who's to say Freeza training for a time and gaining a new form can't reach a height untold by his kin before? Him and his father were freakishly strong mutants after all. Who knows how far they could go.

I'm personally going with Beerus being asleep during the Buu shenanigans. Whis not saying anything about Buu could be chalked up to not paying attention to his original rampage, not finding it important information to divulge, forgetting about it by the time BoG takes place, or not recognizing him after absorbing the Kaioshin.

I've been busy today, so it took me a while to catch up with this thread. I feel like I'm hype up for the movie even more. I knew that Freeza would train after he is wished back instead training in Hell with no body. I'm kinda confused on why he was brought back to life in his 1st form instead coming back in his 4th form. Since he wants to kill Trunks then it's going to be funny seeing him meet Trunks now .

The elder East Kaioshin was sealed 75,000 years ago by Bills. The same person that didn't know about Buu and it was required his successor to tell him all the story. Which leads us to believe Bills became the God of Destruction before Buu had killed and absorbed the Kaioshins, and probably went in a slumbering for x years and got a nap for more 15 years (Told us by Wiss in the movie).

Freeza knowing about Buu does not bother me. I always believe that most people view Buu as a urban legend in most parts of the Universe.
