You shouldn't use those bootlegs for camera pans (or anything for that matter), because even the orange bricks look much better:

The colors are a bit bright, though I prefer the tones (blue grass instead of the Dragon Box/Bootleg's teal), and the footage is much sharper and more detailed than the horribly smeared and out of focus bootleg.

Would someone mind taking a camera pan of Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan for the first time (preferably using the Dragon Box footage)? Just to be clear, I don't mean a pan of the aftermath of his transformation (which we already have), I am alluding to the part of his transformation where the ground is cracking beneath his feet and stones rising up into the air. Thank you!

So, yeah, as I'm sure you all know by now, I was actually using DBNL rips for my pans... well now I have 4/7 of the Dragon Boxes, so I figured I may as well start making camera pans with them.

This was very difficult to make due to so many things being animated at once, but I like the end result...

I believe this was the only time Studio Cockpit animated Super Saiyan 3 Goku, which is a shame.


This episode had a strong green tint for whatever reason (and it's actually better in Kai, even with its green tint), so I rebalanced the RGB levels to match the above footage.

I've been working on these steadily for the past few years, but for whatever reason I haven't gotten around to posting them. I have so freaking many that I'm not sure if I should just make an Imgur album and link it here, or spoiler all of them, because I have well over 100 at this point.

Man, the original shot in DBZ for the beam battle just looks so much better to me, like a lot more work was put into making it (which is probably not an inaccurate conclusion... right?), and it has more detail.
