What the hell has been going with people in the last few pages of this thread?

People want Beerus to die, want Bulma to die, want Goku to die, want Trunks to die, one user suggested that Goten should be cut into pieces with a Kienzan...

I know death in Dragon Ball is cheap, but... good God...

I think the Goten part was a joke (right? )

And maybe Bulma will do something cool and wont appear again in battle since she could die if she stayed.

If this movie takes place just one year after BOG, then my wish for seeing a older Goten and Trunks was destroyed.
They didn't change for 5 years, so I doubt they will change much in 1 year. I will be satisfied if they are at least a little taller.

So, Goku received a huge power-up last movie, Freeza(and possibly Vegeta) this one; maybe the earthlings and Piccolo can get theirs and stop being side characters.

This is DBZ. Not DB.

In all seriousness, I would like to see Piccolo back to the game. In this movie he already takes his cape off, we're making progress...
He didn't even do that in Buu arc.

Just the way that Freeza casually kills off Tagoma makes me think we might get actual character death in this movie in addition to him.

I'm not quite willing to bet Freeza will kill Trunks and/or Gokû, but it's out there.

Which I like anyway. BoG was too...soft, I guess is the right word.

Cargo isn't long-lost, he got killed by Freeza/Dodoria and revived after the Freeza saga lol

I never expect DBZ characters to die without being wished back but I guess it's difficult to work around considering we are currently in the gap between the end of the Buu Saga and the end of Z. I think as long as that's the time period they're playing with they've not got a great deal to work with. They can only do so much with the characters in terms of their development / look / strength / and their lives because we've seen them all back together looking a little bit older at the end of Z.

Perhaps if they were to do future films they'd be wise to go past the current ending of Z. Which I'd be cool with, because I'm not a huge fan of the way Z ended anyway.

There's always the off chance that if this is a trilogy of sorts that the last/third one could take place during the EoZ era.

I feel EoZ gets ignored like it does partly because so many associate it as GT's prelude rather than Z's ending.
If that tournament was a whole arc and not just a few chapters, it'd be used more.

Toriyama saying he doesn't want to make a movie there because the characters are too old, isn't a valid excuse.
Its not like the earhtlings can keep up anymore. And no matter how old they are, they can still make some comedy, at least. Piccolo and the saiyans are still in good shape.
And the new generation would take over.

Akira said that the only reason he won't make a movie after Z is because Kakarot is off with Uub too. Well, I don't know whether I would like to see or not the whole training or a great amount of scenes, but one way or other, I think the training could be put in a movie and then he continues the story. I would prefer this because this keeps blocking Tarble from appear again.

Of course it was a joke, I wouldn't want Goten to be cut into pieces with Kienzan...Kienzan is Krillin's technique, Freeza's got his own slicing techniques he could use

It would have a harder time to make money. But we would probably get more Kung-Fu fightning that way.
World Strongest is one of the movies (if not the) with best choreography.

I couldn't agree with this more if I tried. I mean, just speaking story wise, I'd rather get something that was set after the end of the series...but speaking of the fighting style and choreography, I'd LOVE to see something set between the series, if they'd do it right. The best fighting the series ever had was from the last fight with Goku and Piccolo at the 23rd Budokai, through the Raditz stuff, and then with Dead Zone and World's Strongest tossed in there too.
