Yamamuro Tadayoshi creates his own character designs and those are the ones that the key animators work from when drawing their key animation. In other words:
1. Toriyama draws rough art.

3. Toriyama approves or disapproves (at least, he did when it came to Super Saiyan God Son Gokuu).
4. Storyboarding commences.
5. Key animation commences.
I guess that explosion enveloping those three in the trailer is Beers waking up mad because of the racquet that Whis is making training Vegeta and Gokuu...

Why does Goku have such a buff looking chest but then Vegeta is as flat as a board? He shouldn't look that scrawny.
Yeah, while I like Vegeta's new armor, he certainly seems more lean in terms of build.
