Um, why? We have already seen that with the TV special. I doubt the canonical version will be that much better (or longer, because in a Bardock vs Freea fight, it's not about the quality of the fight, but its length).

You already answered... Well, kinda. Is that scene from the TV Special canon? Is that scene which is represented in the Chapter 307?

If not, then I want to know exactly what happened in Bardock vs Freeza from Akira's view, how was the fight, and, if it is possible, what was said.

Nah preferably I'd rather it not become a overused concept like the Super Saiyans. Between Beerus and Goku in the last movie (and Whis?) and then more than likely Vegeta and Freeza in this movie then that's a few already. Even the villain in Xenoverse is supposed to be a Demon God.

he wasn't really tired when he won against Goku (it was his excuse to not destroy Earth xD)

It's not to scale. Officially, Goku is 5'9, Gohan is 5'9.5, Vegeta is 5'4, and Piccolo is 7'5.

Also, those character designs are terrible. Especially Marron's. Except Ten's, Ten's is fine.

I'd like to see one of the heroes get to SSJG like levels through talent/training alone.

Not sure who'd be able though, maybe Gohan due to his potential or Gotenks because of Goten/Trunks' training and fusion's power boost.

Or if Piccolo, somehow, fuses with another Namek, which isn't too far-fetched if they end up going to another universe in following movies.

Hopeless thinking I'm afraid. We might just enter GT territory soon. BOG set up the GT level of character use, and FNF is possibly ready to build on it. BOG's (beyond some dumb hiccups) at least had everyone be pretty much screwed against Beerus with no one really standing a chance among the characters. FNF may just put Vegeta up there with Godku (just like in GT) and then everyone else will follow their GT roles again. It's the set up I'm seeing since god ki came into the picture, unless they abused it for everyone off screen since the power up sounds really exploitable.

Well yeah it is. As far as we know, all the Saiyans can get SSJG. Even Pan. Unless there's another thing about the transformation that we don't know about.

More Beerus definitely has me excited, and despite slight misgivings about the return of Freeza (most of which I've long since dealt with, and more and more hope appearing on the horizon), I'm excited to have some more of him too. Especially since it means more Nakao and probably more Ayres.

Other than that...hmm. Well, new material in general excites me. I'm hoping for lots of great material to make new Kuririn avatars from too, but other than Cop Kuririn, I'm probably not going to get a lot there since he's back to his usual bald look.

Why do the other characters even fight anymore? Anytime it's a new threat just call Vegeta or Goku. Just seem pointless fighting a losing battle unless you're holding them off. We probably going to get a scene where someone attacks Freeza and we get the classic smoke scene. "GUYS! I did it! I beat Freeza!". Only to show that Freeza wasn't hurt and everyone forgot how to sense ki.

1- An unpredictable story full of twists and turns
2 - Beerus death
3 - Whis death
4- Kid Trunks death
5- Vegeta to be saving the day
6- Mutenroshi realizing that was a stupid idea try to battle against Freeza's army since he only has 139 PL
7- Gohan and Piccolo a proper utility since they are more than enough to blow millions of Freeza's soldiers
8- Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 to make an apperance
9- To explain how Mai, Shuu and Pilaf will be old in the beginning of GT
10 - Why didn't Goku used SSJG in GT

Let's not assume anything, and strive to make more than short, single-sentence contributions.

Regardless of whether or not you want to take the promotional manager at his word regarding the "official history" of the series, and regardless of what your viewpoint is concerning what level of involvement and authorship it takes from Akira Toriyama himself for something to be considered "canonical" (to something else, generally the manga)...

Battle of Gods doesn't specifically exist to fill time as buffer material between other productions. While it takes place during a time skip in the series, those circumstances are irrelevant to the distinction of it being or not being "filler".

"Filler" in anime (and specifically shonen manga-to-anime adaptations), by its most general definition, is material created exclusively for the anime adaptation that exists to act as buffer material so that the anime does not catch up with the manga.

Battle of Gods does not fit that production definition.

I was wondering if they'd make Frieza stronger than Beerus. Usually you'd expect the next villain to be the strongest yet but the last movie was different in that Beerus never lost.

Maybe they'll up the ante by making Frieza stronger than what Beerus fought at in the last movie but not as strong as him at full power so it'd be like...

Frieza - 8

Goku may have risen from a 6 to a 7.5 by training with Whis. Maybe Vegeta will be an 8.5 if he wins in this one.

Perhaps we'll get a Beerus rematch in the next film.

I'd also like to see Beerusus haunting, or resting for the third movies villain. If there is such a thing planned.

Any pure-hearted saiyan can achieve SSJG through the same ritual as Goku. However, only the talented few will be able to absorb that power into themselves after it wears out.


I base that on absolutely nothing.
