Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
No it doesn't. Because if the soldiers just wanted to kill the Earthlings, it would take a fraction of a second for one of them to just fire a single non-compressed blast at the ground to wipe out all life on the planet that couldn't survive the resulting apocalyptic event. Piccolo, at the very beginning of Z, with a power level of 408, casually destroyed the moon, in a completely overkill fashion. The amount of power required to just wipe out Earth's population pales in comparison to that.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Then the 1000 mooks....the 1000 mooks all with power levels below Raditz. They can't be stronger than the new characters since they were in charge, and they still were only Zarbon level. It's 1000 ants vs a couple of titans. Who do you think is going to win? 1 titan can wipe them all out in seconds. Anyone remember how easy this was?
All in 1 blow with hardly any effort. The Cell Junior were at least around Cell Games SSJ Vegeta tier. Now imagine those Cell Junior being literally millions of times weaker, but more numerous. Good lord it's a slaughter house on dull proportions. I say dull cause most of our heroes can casually wipe out 1000 weak Freeza minions with a single attack. They also can't even hurt our heroes with such low levels. Unless....did every mook get their own "happy fun time circle?" "Super Mook Gods?"
He's saying everyone will need to be at full power if they want to win. Nowhere does he mention anything about protecting the earth in that comment. This time, everyone will have to to turn out in full-force if we want to win against Freeza’s 1000-strong army!
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Child Goku in GT had to use SSJ3 to fight against someone who was described as a Majin Buu level threat (Rildo), but he easily defeated Freeza and Cell in the Super 17 Saga while in base form. Now we're getting a Freeza who'll be much stronger than a Buu Saga level enemy. There's no way these movies work alongside GT.Kakarot9001 wrote:Not really, Goku absorbed godly powers but there is still yet to tell if it's forever the same level. In Hell is not stated who is stronger then who (Freeza or Cell) because then were beated easily the same way and Freeza was beated by Goku base form that is stated in this movie that he will indeed fight Freeza without SSJ
There's also Freeza's supposed new form that obviously didn't exist in GT for obvious reasons.

That shouldn't turn out to be that difficult when we have Piccolo, Son Goten, Trunks, Gotenks, Lazuli, Kuririn... Should I mention... Muten Roshi? Yamcha? Tenshinhan? Chaos? Pual? Oolong?

I think he will keep this power but that's my opinion.Kakarot9001 wrote: I didn't say he would get weaker but is not confirmed that he will maintain this power forever in his base state like God form could disappear I don't see why not his base form could get a slowly decrease.
Why couldn't exist two Hells? I don't see a problem with that, a private Hell for Freeza and others and a Hell for all... All that stuff that Gero and Myuu did in Super 17 Saga could destroy this balance and cause the input to these portals. I don't think Freeza will lose power, I think he will be something around he will be in this movie and were in GT.
The Hell in GT is against everything said in the manga, the one we've got now wasn't hinted at but it can work.. Sort of.
If Freeza stays this strength he would destroy base Goku in GT no sweat as he's only around SSJ3 Goku Z at best, and IMO that's generous.
I personally can't see how it fits, but if you really want it to I'm sure you'll find your own theories for it to fit.
Just agree to disagree

Can't they make ki shields on something. Only time earth should be in danger if Goten and Trunks fuck around with gag because they can't take shit seriously. Everyone else should fuck them up badly.

You're all being much too critical. It is just a blog to get people hyped for the movie, and super saiyan is one of the most famous things from Dragon Ball, so naturally it woyld be teased.
Is there really a point in getting so caught up on Gohan using super saiyan? I understand if you like his Ultimate state, but Sper Saiyan is cool, and most people going to this movie aren't going to be analyzing all the minutia of it; rather, they will enjoy the movie.
About the army: maybe they are stronger, or, as suggested before, maybe they are spread out. Maybe we will see pure slaughter from each of the Z fighters.

What facts? The fact that Goku, in Base form, couldn't handle the death ball like Super Saiyan could? The fact tgat Goku NEEDED SSJGod to overpower it? They're not the same.sintzu wrote:You can't argue facts.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:...no.

No. Goku used SSJ3 only once in GT and was agains Baby who might have great powers since he made a similiar God ritual with he being Vegeta with Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Bra.Neon Z wrote:Child Goku in GT had to use SSJ3 to fight against someone who was described as a Majin Buu level threat (Rildo), but he easily defeated Freeza and Cell in the Super 17 Saga while in base form. Against General Rildo he only transformed in SSJ in the battle.

So true. If people stop trying to make everything a picture perfect fit, and take it for what it is, entertainment which can and will change what was established 17+ years ago, then a lot of these arguments would cease. Oh well, that is the point of a discussiob forum I guess, so I digress.fadeddreams5 wrote:Well, that backfired.Abel Taylor wrote: It js just a blog to get people hyped for the movie...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
This seems to me like the writer who in this case is Toriyama, has a bunch of ideas and things he wants to happen, but does not give a shit about putting a ton of thought into making them work with his manga. That's at least what a good editor is for. Someone who is very knowledgeable, and tries to make the writers ideas work within the context of the manga. If they outright contradict and can't be fixed, then they suggest not using such an idea. It's pretty much what I do with content creators now.
A lot of these problems I feel can be fixed if they just put a little thought into them. Or perhaps the PR team is really shitty and misleading us when they shouldn't be.

No. I am saying that they are ignoring the 20 year old minutia to make it entertaining for people who don't scrutinize Dragon Ball, a group who comprises a large part of the fanbase; and that the Super Saiyan vs Ultimate debate is pointless as it is a slight difference and that nothing ever said he couldn't. Which is a better idea: use the infinitely more popular form for our general audience or use the form that is virtually identical to his untransformed state as to not offend a part of our fanbase that can't move on from old news?Drayenko wrote:Again, fuck consistency because Super Saiyajin is cool. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
To be fair, maybe he can use his mystic form, which is actually why he's pondering whether or not he can go SSJ too.
In BoG, I am pretty sure he was originally meant to be SSJ throughout because they forgot about his ultimate form. They just recolored him the minute fans spotted the inconsistency and complained. They probably forgot to edit the scene where he gives Goku his ki.
Now that they acknowledge his mystic form, they are trying to bring back SSJ.
jk. They fucked up. lol.

I can't even describe how ridiculous this is. That would be as if in the new Star Wars movie everybody had red sabers, because you know, people think they look cool. And fuck consistency and longterm fans, who cares about them anyways?Abel Taylor wrote: No. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
More like Goku might not go Super Saiyan, so we can't have Gohan stealing that attribute from him, or people might think he's an SSJ God too......wait....it's quite the opposite. Goku is stealing an attribute from Gohan. Like how Vegeta did in the last movie. Movie 16, Goku has Candy Beam, Clothes Beam, and can regenerate.fadeddreams5 wrote:To be fair, maybe he can use his mystic form, which is actually why he's pondering whether or not he can go SSJ too.

Pretty sure even casual DB fans complained about Gohan being a SSJ. It's kinda a big deal to be honest. We might complain about nitpicks but the majority knows that Gohans strongest state is Mystic.most people going to this movie aren't going to be analyzing all the minutia of it
