A DBZ resurgence is being orchestrated
Something is definitely being built upon here. A lot of channels are giving DBZ (Or Kai) lots of favorable timeslots and screentime. From Televisa's Canal 5 to Adult Swim in the USA. I'm not saying this just because I want to see one, but its definitely something that didnt happen with Battle Of Gods. Sure Fukkatsu No F is coming, but the efforts seem to be much more orchestrated this time around. Guess BoG was pretty successful and they want to capitalize on that this time around.

Re: A DBZ resurgence is being orchestrated
I think it's possible. BOG did pretty well for a limited release and Xenoverse has a lot of hype. Xenoverse is the first DBZ game that we had since the PS2 days where people are hype up to play unlike in the past.

Until there is an announcement of an official manga sequel to Dragon Ball by Toyotarō and FnF get a release in Europe and the USA this year, then I'll say that a DBZ resurgence is really being orchestrated.

Re: A DBZ resurgence is being orchestrated
I don't know if it's orchestrated or not per say. But I am noticing the hype around Xenoverse and the new movie coming out. I particularly enjoy seeing my twelve year old brother take such an interest in it. He's getting xenoverse for his birthday and he's been pumped for it for a while now. He's always asking me what type of character I'll make first.
The Dragonball series is my one and only anime show.
always on the lookout for uncut vhs box sets/individual tapes, dvd box sets, and various DB related merchandise.
My inner child is a monster that holds me hostage until I buy it endless video games and dragonball stuff. It won't stop until I have a man cave full of stuff that I look at more than I use. It's a problem.. They tried to make it go to rehab, but it said noo noo noo. Lmao.

Man, you're living the dream. I'm desperately trying to get my brother interested and he just doesn't seem to careDbzlove1993 wrote:I don't know if it's orchestrated or not per say. Gohan deserves it.

Aaaaaand it was true after all. LOL.
Actually, I'm really shocked and I'm not bumping to gloat(Not even I believed it was possible it could be true) but rather to wonder if TV Channels knew about Dragon Ball Super. Jason De Marco didnt know but I wonder if Televisa and other Big Wigs did know.

Isnt that how it works? Can't throw all your chips out on the table and hope you cash out big, let it build and watch it progress then when you have a full house you clean up shop.

Yeah. About ANY crazy theory you can spout can actually be true. Like the Donut Shaped Universe in The Simpsons or that any of the recent conspiracies that turned out to be true.

Re: A DBZ resurgence is being orchestrated
Yeah, a resurgence is definitely happening. Xenoverse is the best selling DBZ game in at least 7 years, and the best reviewed game in in around that time frame to.
Battle of Gods was successful, did pretty well in the US given that it was a limited release, and got solid reviews overall, and acclaim from people who didn't have a pre-determined mindset of "it has to be hardcore Z fighting".
Resserection of Frieza is doing well in Japan, and will probably do better than BoG worldwide.
And DBZKai is doing well on Adult Swim, and on some nights has actually been one of the highest rated non-sports programs, which is pretty insane. And not to mention that the real reason why the Buu Saga was even made was because Kai was unexpectedly successful worldwide.
The thirst and love for Dragon Ball is still there.
And now we have Dragon Ball Super!

Resurrection "F" is going to kick butt in N.A. theaters and hopefully Super will be a major hit. After 18 years, we're getting more content. Truly Goku's spirit is forever. =)

This can be a good thing provided Gohan isn't turned into a Jobber once again.
He devolved into saying only one word. Time to hit the ol' cosmic trail.

I mean, to pluck from the Super thread, prior to Battle of Gods, it really did look as if the "second wave", to swipe VegettoEX's term, was about to fizzle out. Now this. Even if Super is terrible it will leave the series in a better place than Kai's ending and the last few video games did.Lord Beerus wrote:Man, what an unbelievable time it is to be a Dragon Ball fan.
