I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Goten and Trunks aren't in the movie. They seem to be primarily focusing on whoever was involved on Namek.

Ten and Roshi was not involved during the Namek wars. If they're are not in the movie(which I lost all hope for) then it's a waste of a gag or angry Freeza so two people who look identical to the SSJs who killed him.

Nobody said that Freeza will compete with SSJ God with only training, he only thinks that 4 months will be enough to surpass the power of Goku that defeated Buu. Maybe he will became a God too? But even if he does became stronger then Goku with just training, he was born thousands if not millions of times stronger then him, so his potential is logically much higher then Goku's, and it's not mentioned that only God can defeat God of Destruction or Super Saiyan God, after all, Whis is not a God and yet he is much stronger then both of them.

Freeza won't be fighting Tenshinhan or Roshi. We see them fighting Freeza army grunts but that's it. Even on the poster, everyone on there was only involved via Namek. Yes, Goten and Trunks probably will be in the film. I was simply saying that if they weren't, I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think you understand the phrase, "primarily focused on". Videl is in the movie, yeah. Minor character. So is Roshi and Tien, but they will be fighting Freeza grunts. Even on the poster, everyone there was related to those on Namek. Freeza, Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Gohan and Piccolo. Yeah, Beerus and Whis are there too but they most likely won't be main focuses of this film.

4 months to surprass Buu saga Goku is stupid,too. Maybe someone helps Frieza. Also,born thousands stronger doesn't mean has more pontential.Vegeta has never reached SSJ3 level.

Dragon Ball is too mainstream to make any more money just because Kageyama is used. By using Momo'iro Clover Z they can probably fulfill a contractual obligation and sell CDs. Win-win.

That pretty much Toei's angle with the movie and Dragon Ball as whole. Minimize cost, maximise profit.

Something I just thought of is how, in a recent interview, Toriyama indicated that Cold and Freeza were the only ones born with such freakishly high power, and he didn't mention Coola at all. Which I find odd, considering he helped create him, and hasn't been afraid to "adopt" anime stuff like Bardock or the Tsufrians.

Now from a production perspective, it could very well still just be that Toriyama didn't remember or care about Coola since he wasn't part of the original story. But from an in-universe angle, there's this new revelation that Freeza's never trained before, and was apparently just naturally as strong as he was. So maybe that's true for Cold and Freeza... but Coola had to actually work for his power, and attain things like his "Super" form in order to surpass his brother.

Just a semi-related side thought that didn't seem worth its own thread.
