Thanks, Sangofe. These are great. I love how Torishima-san said that he feels 'the message of Dragon Ball is compassion.' I can guarantee you that quote is going in one of my books. :D

Cool. Would also be cool if you link to these videos in your book :)

Yeah, I almost did, but decided to link to the original versions by Kaze instead. I might still do both, but my concern is that your videos may be taken down some day because you don't own the copyright to the content, and Shueisha is strict with their content. Your videos are of course more usable, but it's a problem if the content is gone when the reader clicks the link.

You've got a point, but how about saying there's english versions from my account (or maybe Kanzenshuu could go over the translations, and use them as text translations on the site?).

PS! Kazé's translation isn't too great. They've got some errors and lots of missing detail. And lots of wrong timing.

How about posting the translation here as a spoilered text? This way even if your videos get taken down, everybody can reapply the subs with correct timing.

These were amazing, thanks so much! It was interesting to see the "rivalry" DB had with Fist of the North Star, especially how they stemmed from Bruce Lee & Jackie Chan. Also, King Piccolo's conception being based on Neron was something I didn't know about either; looks like Piccolo Daimao was a fusion of Neron and Torishima himself, according to that one interview where Toriyama said he subconsciously bases his major villains off his editors
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Sure, will do when we're through the entire batch and done eventual editing changes. I do think that these deserve a place on the kanzenshuu site, too, though. So if Julian or Herms would check and approve, that'd be great.

You're welcome. I do this for the Kanzenshuu community :) Yeah, we sure learn a lot of interesting things!

News updates: part 6 is almost done, but Lord_Starfish would like an additional translation checker to check the script...

Perfect! Thank so much for your hard work.

I love that little tidbit about the statues. I'd only ever heard the Super Saiyan one before. I'd love to know what else was done to masterfully cut corners.

Gokû's size jump was to make it easier to show the muscles? Neat. :3

Also interesting that Bandai asked Toriyama for a new series, got declined, and that ended up leading to Kai.
If we'd gotten a new series back then instead of Kai...I can't even imagine it.

Wow we coulda had a another new series, but Toriyama refused. Maybe he didn't really like GT after all, maybe he didn't want to write more material at the time, or something else entirely.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Kai was all the way back in 09. What else was going on around that time give or take? The Jump 08' Special had happened, the LAM was August of 08 (I think?), Cross Epoch was somewhere in there...

Now I'm all sorts of curious why such an idea was shot down.
