You're right Mike! If the computer wasen't set to stupid I'm sure it would have blocked that "combo". Still, hitting the directional button determines your attack so you can randomize a bit. I wish though that the square button was only punch whereas the triangle was kick like in Budokai 1-3.

Once again I think this will be a fun game dispite the disappointments (Ginyu *cough* only 3 moves instead of four for most characters *cough* I have asthema*cough*). Then again that is only another "impression". The Bardock Film taking place on Namek!? UGH! :x

Here's a number of differences from the anime I've noticed:

Saiyan Saga
-Goku is still wearing his undershirt, wristbands and boots while fighting Radditz.
-Goku falls down after the others arrive.
-Not only that, but he falls down face-first, rather than landing on his back.
-The Z-Warriors train against duplicates of themselves (Yajirobe included). Most likely similar to Goku's training in DB.
-Saibaiman just appear out of thin air.
-The Saibaiman all have fallen before the Z-Warriors, until one just gets up and jumps on Yamcha, who is RIGHT NEXT to everyone, and blows up.
-Nappa isn't blown up by Vegeta, but merely defeated by Goku (though we all know he's killed).
-No Kuririn using the Genki Dama on Vegeta.
-Kuririn merely comes up to a battered Vegeta, unarmed, as he attempts to finish him.

Tullece Arc
-None of Tullece's henchmen are around. The only Z-Senshi available are Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and Kuririn.
-Goku's clothing is in perfect shape, even with Tullece blasting him several times in the back.
-Tullece is merely beaten, rather than destroyed with the Genki Dama.

Burdock Arc
-Planet Meat and Planet Vegeta are no where to be seen. The latter is only seen in the ending cutscene.
-Burdock fights and sees multiple Kiwi clones.
-Burdock fights Dodoria a second time and Zarbon a first time; this does not happen in the anime.
-Burdock's speech makes no mention of Kakarrot's fate (only includes the fate of Planet Vegeta, his own fate and Freeza's fate).
-Burdock's attack is fired and hits Freeza, who has not prepared his Death Ball yet.
-Planet Vegeta is blown up..even though all of the fights take place on Planet Namek in the game.

Slug Arc
-None of Slug's henchmen are about.
-Goku does not turn Giji-Super Saiyan to beat Slug (not even in a cutscene), nor is it mentioned.
-Gohan is told to whistle, but we hear nothing afterwards.

Freeza Saga
-Vegeta keeps the same damn costume he had in the Saiyan Saga, Scouter and tail included, until after Goku's fight with Ginyu.
-Speaking of Vegeta, rather than bursting off as Goku prepares to fight Ginyu, he merely flies away.
-We don't see Freeza blast Vegeta through the heart.
-Goku using the Genki Dama on Freeza is mentioned, but not seen.

Garlic Jr. Arc
-Only Roshi and Yamcha appear and are affected by the Black Aqua Mist when it comes to Kuririn and Gohan fighting them.
-Garlic Jr.'s henchmen are MIA.
-You don't fight the transformed state of Garlic Jr.
-We don't see the Makyo Star or the Dead Zone.
-Gohan is told to attack the star and all we see is Garlic Jr. look back and vanish.

Coola Arc
-Only Sauza, from Coola's henchmen, is seen in action. He fights you a couple of times, rather than the others.
-No Coola being fired into the sun.
-No Piccolo killing Sauza.

Metal Coola Arc
-Roshi and Yajirobe attempt to fight the various Metal Coola, as opposed to the robots that Coola has dispatched in the movie.
-Vegeta simply flies down from the sky, as opposed to kicking Metal Coola away from Goku.
-No final fight with the main Metal Coola. Arc ends with Goku and Vegeta fighting five Metal Coola, scene then skips to after all of them are destroyed.

Trunks the Story
-Future Gohan = Gohan in the Boo Saga. Down to the purple Gi, two arms, and no scar.
-Trunks is the age we first see him when he kills Freeza and King Cold. He even has his sword.

There's probably more, though I'm just now starting up the Trunks story.

One character that no one has mentioned that I consider a MUST for Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! 3: Nail. Seriously. If you're going to have Yajirobe, Grandpa Gohan, or even Hercule, you've GOT to have Nail.

Well in the Budokai games, the always pulled the Nail skin for Piccolo. I don't think Nail is interesting enough to be a character. I mean he looks like Piccolo (went all the way for that design, eh) and his main purpose in the series was getting beaten by Freeza and to assimilate with Piccolo.

Again I say... Yajirobe always gets owned and isn't interesting enough to be a character.... so is Cui. So I say, Nail all the way.

Simple, Ginyu is so awesome he only needs three moves to beat you!

As to the changes. Chill people. >.>;; Does it really make that much of a difference that they didn't model every henchmen of *insert villain*, most of them aren't interesting enough to warrant their own model, so it'd be pretty pointless to model a character that you'd see for all of a few seconds in a cutscene or fight only once in story mode.

Similarly there is no particular need to make a whole level out of a place that appears only once in a 45 minute episode.

I can understand why Spike made the changes. >.>;; And I don't really see the need to go into hissy fits over them. (And besides, if I wanted to see those events exactly like they were in the anime, I'd watch the anime)

Yajirobe was an important character, however. He helped kill one of Piccolo Daimao's offspring and eventually lopped off Vegeta's tail.

Though Cui is rather useless. >_>;

They could've at the least made an "Another Planet" level for the Bardock battles, movie 8, the Dabura battle, and not to mention Janemba!!...Whatever.

There are only two characters that are worth adding to new DragonBall games: Tournament Announcer and the Farmer. Have a nice day.

*cough*Piccolo Daimao and Dr.Whello*cough*.
Really? Well, that's weird because they counted in Piccolo Daimao in B3, wonder why they left him out. As for Doctor Wheero, does anyone actually think that he'd even have a chance in battle? *remember giant robot suit* Oh yeah maybe he cou- *remembers him getting nailed by the genki dama* Um, I stick to my previous statement.

I would totally play as the Tournament Announcer. He could use his microphone as a weapon.
On hiatus.

That's all they had to be named, why do they insist on putting unneccesary "Z"'s and/or "Dragon"'s everywhere? *shrugs*
