Dammit, trying to beat Super Saiyan Goku in one of the Parallel Quests in the hope it'll give me the Super Saiyan skill, but Frieza (First Form) keeps getting himself killed first, gah!

I think I'm at about Lv. 25 or so (can't check right now as I'm in the battle), but I switched my armor's around a bit now and it's going a little better. If I can just finish people off before Frieza gets too beaten up...
Like I said, it's him getting his butt kicked that's getting me my 'loss' there, not my character.

So it seems like preordering the digital version was not the same as getting the Day One edition, dammit http://bandainamcous.tumblr.com/post/11 ... ry-excited
I'm pretty sure we'll get SSJ4 Vegeta as DLC. Anyway, anyone know how to get Freeza to appear in Parallel Quest 13? I'm fulfilling the condition of beating everyone under 5 min but no dice
EDIT: Nvm just learned you had do it in alone and without supporters/help lol

Well if your a level 25 you should be beating Goku so bad he can't even touch Freeza. Then again, I guess it depends where you put your stats in.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I think I'm at about Lv. 25 or so (can't check right now as I'm in the battle), but I switched my armor's around a bit now and it's going a little better. Doesn't seem to be working out that way, though I did finally just beat him...just...without getting the skill. Gah!
Maybe I should try taking on the mission with just me and Freeza instead of bringing along some assists, does the difficulty ramp up if you have more people on your side or something?

So I'm trying to get the Super Vegeta skill, but Krillin isn't appearing in the mission. I killed the mooks, then went inside the ship, but there's no Krillin.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

So I'm still early in the game (Nappa and Vegeta fight) but how come no other players appear in Toki Toki City? It's all cpu

Ok so I managed to get Krillin on board, he died. Goku came, then Vegeta. We won and nothing happened. Vegeta is supposed to go Renegade but he never did.

Is "Ki Blast super" how hard your blast attacks and ultimate blast attacks hit? I might need to invest more points in that area.

Game unlocked on PC. Here's the graphics menu in English:
I'm away from my rain rig currently so I was a little worried as to how this secondary rig would run things. It's only rocking a 560ti (a mid-tier card from 2011) but this game is a rock solid 60 on max settings. They've seemingly done a good job.
Regarding the frame rate cap option - you can lock it at 30, 60 or uncapped. As someone with a 120Hz monitor, that's an absolute dream come true, and a rarity for a fighting game. Very impressed by that.
The most stand-out negative would be the anti-aliasing implementation. They've only got FXAA which isn't that great. Downsampling from 4K fixes this but that's not an ideal solution for most people. Definitely a few jaggies in high-detailed scenes.
Though this is personal taste, having 'Glare' set to High produces some insanely strong bloom. Not the nicest thing to look at.
You do have to return to the main menu every time you change a graphics option, though. That's kinda...annoying. Only minor as most people set their stuff up and go on their way.
Aside from that, the game runs great, solid port, no issues so far. Will report back if I find any.
Here's my character:
As you can see, the texture quality is (as far as I can tell) identical to its console counterpart. Meaning it looks like shit but hey ho. That's cross-gen development for you!
Once I'm back at my main rig on Sunday, I'll record some 4K 60fps footage and post it. It should look beautiful!

Well it's not like those builds are completely stable. And the Gamestop build is generally for kiosks and not for home versions, similar to how the PS3 and PS4 softwares have Kiosk versions.Quebaz wrote:Hum... the TGS build? The Gamestop build? Bah! You guys can scoff all you want, if it wasn't for this going to PS3 as well, I wouldn't have been able to play it at all yet, so...well, it works pretty well for me at least.AjayLikesGaming wrote:As you can see, the texture quality is (as far as I can tell) identical to its console counterpart. I gave up trying to get that Super Saiyan skill for now, I may try again after I finish the Cell arc. I now see what people were talking about with that Mr. Satan fight, holy crap.

For a game like this, it doesn't really bother me much; I just thought I'd point it out. If it means more people are playing the game then I'm happy.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Bah! You guys can scoff all you want, if it wasn't for this going to PS3 as well, I wouldn't have been able to play it at all
Also, I am so unbelievably terrible at fighting games. High rank in CS:GO, can't do shit in Xenoverse.

If anyone wants to kick over advice for Saiyan Cacs feel free. The stats for someone that does basic attacks tied to super ki blasts. What is strike supers, are they the melee special moves? (because i never use those.)
I am just wondering if stamina is very useful. What does it do and how does it help dodge. I just need stamina explained a bit.

Strike Supers are melee super attacks, like Burst Rush, Super Dragon Fist, etc. If you don't use those, don't bother putting points into it. Stamina is important for blocking and dodging I believe. Though if you're rocking a Super Saiyan strategy, then too much stamina can be a bad thing. When SSJ wears off, you loose access to stamina til it builds up again. A lot of stamina works only if you can maintain SSJ, cause if your ki is small and you run out, but have lots of stamina, you're left wide open.Careless Saiyajin wrote:If anyone wants to kick over advice for Saiyan Cacs feel free. Also seriously getting Super Vegeta is annoying me. Vegeta won't turn on me in the parallel quest. It just ends before the final sequence.
