Dang straight!! Then we get Dragonball the Movie tie-in game. I don't see why so many are upset at the many DBZ games on the PS2, we went thru such a long time with no decent DBZ games. And it's not like they are all the same game (another Street Fighter reference). Budokai, Sparking, and Super DBZ all have different fighting mechanics.SSj Kaboom wrote:It is coming! You'll see! And, also, I don't see the Wii as next-gen, more like a half-gen ahead. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna get one.
Whatta yall think a next-gen Dragonball game would be??

Though I'm very partial to the Wii, I gotta agree with you. If being Next-generation or not is decided by how powerful and expensive a console is, then the Wii is behind the PS3 and XB360 in that regard.Anonymous Friend wrote:And, also, I don't see the Wii as next-gen, more like a half-gen ahead. But when it comes to being just plain innovative and fun, then boy, howdy...!
Like I think I've said before... more visual stuff. Not necessarily just detail. Obviously, character models and arenas and stuff will get more detailed and better on the eyes as technology increases, but...Anonymous Friend wrote:Whatta yall think a next-gen Dragonball game would be??
I want to see strands of Super Saiyan hair swishing back and forth with the wind and the character's aura, and the tattered remains of characters' outfits doing the same.
I want to see powerful characters make the landscape around them rumble and shatter when they power up.
I want to see battles leave huge amounts of residual damage on the landscape and the characters. Craters and such.
Oh, and I wanna see Arale and Neko Majin as playable characters. I mean, c'mon! We want them! Also, more what-ifs, especially fusions. Yamhan and Gotan, obviously, but also stuff like Potara-fusable Goten and Trunks, and other fusions like that.

Kinda sound like my idea of a realistic Dragonball game. Very Tekken/VF style but it keeps the all colors.SSj Kaboom wrote: Like I think I've said before... more visual stuff. I haven't been keeping up. So all PS3's will be region free!? Awesome! I'm glad to hear that Sparking! is confirmed (unofficially official) to have another sequel.VegettoEX wrote:>.>
I think it's a safe bet to say that whatever the next game that comes out is... it most likely be a PS3 game, if not exclusive to the PS3. It's just the way it works over there. They're already doing anime-based games for the Wii and PS3, so DBZ heading there is quite logical.
That said, I'm looking forward to the PS3 actually being region-free.

I'm hoping more for a Super DBZ 2 or a Budokai 4 than a Sparking SUPER NEO or something.Taku128 wrote:Wiki has an untitled DBZ game listed as going to be on PS3 and Xbox 360, so Sparking 3 and Super DBZ 2 could be on both. I'm pretty sure Budokai3 was the last of its kind. Mabye the companies have some sort of theme with a few sequels per title or something like that. Hopefully BT3 will perfect what it had with its next game, so it actually delivers everything it claims to.Kendamu wrote:I'm hoping more for a Super DBZ 2 or a Budokai 4 than a Sparking SUPER NEO or something.Taku128 wrote:Wiki has an untitled DBZ game listed as going to be on PS3 and Xbox 360, so Sparking 3 and Super DBZ 2 could be on both. You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Speaking of both a sequel to Super Dragonball Z and Sparking! NEO I'm sure there is a lot of things to be added. The 'Sparking!' series like it's predeccesor the 'Budokai' series will obviously add more characters and new maps.
Characters I would like to see in a Sparking! 3 would be the likes of "King" Piccolo Daimao, Cyborg Tao Pai Pai, one of the Red Ribbon generals, The rest of Coola's goons (Doore and Neizu), 1 or 2 generic Freeza henchmen, Meta Coola's robot sentries, Spapovich, Yamu, Pui Pui, the rest of the evil dragons from GT, GT Kid Goku (with SSJ, SSJ 3 and Golden Oozaru), Kid Kuririn, at least two of Tullece's goons, and two of Slug's goons. Phew! Some new moves would be nice.... they should bring back different buttons for punching and kicking, give Ginyu his original body switch technique back, four moves instead of three, and remain consistant with the story this time!
I'm sure with the amount of memory next gen consoles are supposed to have that this won't be a problem including all the previous characters. As for a Super DBZ 2 I'm not sure who should be included..... maybe Kid Goku, Master Roshi/Jackie Chun, Tao Pai Pai, Mr. Satan, Raditz, Nappa, Namu (heh that would be interesting), definitley Tein and Yamcha and perhaps Grandpa Gohan. That's the best ideas I can think of right now....
It doesen't hurt to dream right!?

Wow Sparking Neo! for both systems, eh? I'm too lazy to play through both games. I have BT2 reserved right now but I'm also planning on getting the wii and I want to add a lot of games to that library. Lets see what happens...Even though this wasn't directly stated, I believe a combination of DragonBall and the WoW would result in the end of the world and I know its true because my horoscope told me.theoriginalbilis wrote:Alls I know is I'm not getting a PS3 ever, so even if they do release more DragonBall games on next-gen systems, I won't be playing them (Unless my hardcore gamer friends get them)...
As for next-gen DBZ games, if they make DB games for the Wii, I'll probably pick them up, since I do plan on getting a Wii. Hell, I'm going to try to buy both versions of Sparking! NEO for the PS2 and Wii!
It would be cool to see Super DBZ 2 with lots more characters and larger enviroments, I suppose.
I really don't think they could improve on the fighting games too much more. I'm still waiting for my fully 3-D DragonBall adventure/platformer game (in the vein of the Zelda series or God of War)... I'm growing weary of DBZ fighters, I want a DB adventure game that is huge and epic and spans the whole DragonWorld for you to explore!!!

...and by the way, I have in mind a ton of good Wii games, most of them launch titles, that would keep me occupied for at least a year...
