I don't see the problem with a combination of in-universe and out-of-universe discussion for the movie all taking place together. Everyone's excited. There's lots to talk about. Both kinds of topics blend into each other before a movie's release like this.

The actual problem is people proving the preconception about battle-power-obsessed fans by being completely insufferable. If you're going to act that way, please, just go find another community to be a part of, and stop wasting both your own time and our time. It's absolutely and disgustingly embarrassing to have to babysit it when there's no need for it to be that way.

- Blog 47 days left -

Bulma: Police? A bit late for you to be starting a career like that, isn’t it?
Kuririn: Well, if I hang around the house too much, 18 bugs me about getting a job. She’s scary!

Obvious it was something around these lines. With his skills he's easily the best cop, but It would be cooler If he founded a dojo and just gave martial arts lessons there.

-About a new trailer-
After two months and less than one month away for the preview screening, Its about time we get our second trailer.
We got a lot of new footage, now I want to see everyting in motion.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I can sort of see the appeal of both an in and out of universe thread dedicated to the movie, but there'd be so much crossover between the two regardless of where they were put that...well, really it'd just make two threads to keep up with.

...Perhaps a locked thread that's only post accessible for the mods, that would contain only information about the film? It could be stickied at the top of this forum section, and that could be easy enough for people just wanting the info to browse through, and then come to this thread if they wanted to discuss said information. Just a thought, it's up to the staff of course though.

As for that translation of the latest Bulma's blog, poor Kuririn. Even long since married, Bulma still does nothing but give him crap when they're together.

If you ask me I'd say there won't be any second trailer. There are too many things that they don't want to spoil:
- Goten and Trunks to be seriously beaten up/killed
- Goten and Trunks to finally grow teenagers, even if the movie takes places only 1 year after the BOG... As we could see Goku to reach his almost final height in 3 years
- Vegeta to have a very fine battle against Freeza in which it turns out that he is the one to defeat/keep up with Freeza

We already have plot info with the Toyble chapters and we are getting new footage too.
I don't see the problem of editing what we already know and do a trailer.

Is there any movie that hit the theaters wihtout a second trailer?!

How do you sell your product without marketing?!
Not everyone is following everyday news like us.

...True enough. Though I guess it could still be helpful for the 'wait, there's a site too' crowd? :P I was just tossing ideas around anyway.

Thank you. Having to deal with that nonsense on other forums is bad enough, it shouldn't be a problem here where DB discussion should be held to a higher standard.

Pretty sure, a lot of worlwide fans don't even know what v-jump is.
Its much more easier they find the trailers on youtube.

That's right... But pretty much everything it's already uncovered which should be to not spoil major surprises... But I might be wrong.

If we don't get a trailer next week alongside Freeza's new form then we're not getting one at all.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Honestly, I'm just kind of surprised there haven't been a bunch of various versions of the first trailer, in terms of TV ads and stuff. That kind of thing was everywhere for BoG, but is noticeably absent here. I guess they just had to play up the first new movie in almost 20 years that much?

What do you mean by "reach his almost final height"?

I doubt they will show Freeza's new form in the trailer, just like they didn't show Goku ssjgod. They will only tease it once again, most likely.

The tv ads were released when the movie was already in theaters (or close to it). But we got the second trailer before all that.

Like BOG and any other movie is usually like:
Teaser - First Trailer - Second Trailer - Tv ads.

Yeah, but Piccolo's a good boy now. Suppose he doesn't want to obliterate entire islands or cities while fighting these guys?
He was more than willing to let Buu wipe out all the humans to buy him some time for the greater good so I don't see why not. I'm sure he's more than capable of creating a confined attack like Vegeta's final explosion and if such an attack could kill a good 90% of the fodder in one go as opposed to them all expanding more energy fighting them all individually, getting tired and hurt and risking Frieza's army from taking over/destroying Earth then why wouldn't he?

They could always wish back any damage to the earth (which only looks to be some uninhibited island anyway).

A majority of the Earthlings have been revived by the Dragon Balls now though, and thus wouldn't be able to be revived again. I could see that being a reason for why they'd rather avoid a large amount of casualties if at all possible. Not to mention that Piccolo definitely loathed himself a bit for tossing up the population in favor of buying more time for themselves (an effect of the Kami in him no doubt), and considering the fact that Boo not only took his gambit and made it not even work...I can't see Piccolo being so willing to repeat it.

And by a majority I mean everyone that was alive back when Boo killed everyone/blew up the Earth. People newly born since then would be exempt from this issue. And yes, there's always the Namekian Dragon Balls to fall back on too I suppose...but still.
