His new "evolution" form isn't what a expected (color doesn't really mesh), but guess it was meant to be simple like SSJG

Anyway, I think in the above image Frieza has won the fight (notice his battle damage) after battling SSJG Goku, SSJG Vegeta, or SSJG Vegito and at this point, Whis steps in as he made have already beaten/killled Beerus earlier in the movie.

When you look back at Freezer's "normal" final form, he seems so simplistic and weak in comparison of his gold form.
I noticed it from the screenshot where he screams (supposedly transforming). That thin, organic white skin you could easily pierce through.

It's like when you go HD. It's when you go back to SD that you realize "oh, okay, that looks weak in comparison now".

Agreed, but I think he's not using his 100% final form in the film.

It isn't confirmed and we have had some very good fakes before. But man, it sure does look real. The new Shonen Jump comes out next Monday, and then his new from will be officially revealed. So, it may or may not be real.

I guess Goku will still turn Super Saiyan (though in the Heroes intro, Goku and Vegeta don't turn Super Saiyans when custom characters do).

But if Super Saiyan Gods are involved, how ironic would it be that Freezer ends up with the gold color when Goku and Vegeta actually ditch gold now for another hair color?

In Episode of Bardock, Bardock's magnificent death was thrown out of the window, they found an asspull way of turning him Super Saiyan without even explaining how he came back to the past.
Again, makes no sense.
Nothing, which is why Toei's interpretation of Bardock is still the best.

No, not really. The only instance where that happened before was with a machine. I don't see how an attack sends him back to the past.

It kinda is, if the entire premise is flawed, the entire special is flawed. The special itself was already unnecessary. It ruined a death of a character just for a bit of fanservice. It's not a question of being a hater or having a lack of knowledge, but while I do know that Dragon Ball never made much sense in the first place, there's a limit you can't cross. You can't expect to do everything you want without being questioned or criticized.

I say let's wait for the official news in whatever official media it's supposed to happen.
If it is that form, it's fine with me. If it's something else, it will probably be fine too (I can hardly think of a form that I would dislike, unless he looks like Bio-Broly's melted form).
