I understand some of these criticisms, but I never understand the "someone else can come up with something better" kind of complaints people make. We do have been seeing several takes by other people like godawful Episode of Bardock or some boring AF shit in the fan-creation scene, and none of them can be considered better than BoG. I'm still having strong faith in Toriyama's creativity.

Animation flaw? Freeza doesn't have the purple shoulder pads in any other images.

See? The top shot I think is the CGI Freeza and it looks like they goofed by including the shoulder pads.

Pretty sure that's his forearm and that orb is the jewel near the elbow.

I love that, too. It also keeps in line with the more simplistic, small notion that Freeza's fourth form and Super Saiyan God were going with.

Thinking further on the Jaco thing, I wonder if it'll be broached at all that Goku is the 'evil alien' he was originally meant to come and stop? Surely we'll at least see him and Goku interact, since he's coming back to Earth to help fight against Freeza's men as well.

I enjoy most of that better than BoG(which I hated as a fan who doesn't care without his brain.). I like EoB and YSGAFR. I like lots of the fan manga better. In short

Yukinojō Mori wrote the lyrics to "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA," so that's pretty cool. Hopefully the lyrics will feel like Dragon Ball. Maybe we'll get to hear an idol group sing about training a dinosaur to balance atop a ball?

Oh wow, good point. The manga makes it look like Tagoma and Sorbet make themselves scarce ASAP. Maybe they did not know? Its not as if anyone Freeza-related had been to Earth for over a decade by that point.

Nevermind, he was upgraded by Dende to grant at least three and wishes can be saved up, after which Shenron can be summoned again to grant the remaining wishes. I believe they only asked one wish in B.O.G.. If Tagoma and Sorbet didn't bother with any other wishes other than just bring back Freeza, then Pilaf and his crew should rightfully be ruling the world by now.

People seem to keep hating on the purple limbs, but I think it's a nice touch. After all, Coola and King Cold had more of a purple tone. As far as the gold goes, the irony is too great to ignore. I love it.

Revival of F may get an official Movie Guide like you as you just linked to for Battle of Gods, but just because it has art within it, that doesn't really make in an "artbook."

Not sure I'd call that an artbook, but all the same I didn't know that it contained all of Toriyama's sketches he did for the movie.

I honestly didn't think anything of it when I called it an "artbook." I didn't expect anyone to really mind. Never intended to bother anyone. But no worries, I'm well aware the book has more than artwork. I own it, after all.

Doesn't matter. They shouldn't have that kind of creative freedom. They've finally learned to respect their boundaries and not change the music. It's a good thing. Wishing for the alternative just because a pop song might not end up sounding good is asinine.

Looks like his shoulder to me, one has the purple orb there and none of the other shots do.

Looks pretty clearly like his elbow area to me. His hand slips into the ridge on the bottom of the forearm guard, and then it heads back to the elbow. You can't see his shoulder from that angle. I find it hard to believe thatjust that shot of the cgi section would have the error either, since they would be using a 3D model and there would be no reason for it to change between frames.

I may be in the minority, but I like the new animation in comparison to the old animation.

Opening with Trunks was epic and awesome. I'm so glad they didn't ignore that Trunks killed Freeza. Last movie they said Goku defeated Freeza with no mention of Trunks.

Also I'm with ya too, I like the new animation here better. Not in all cases though. Sometimes the new animation is ugly.

Well, Goku /did/ defeat Freeza. Please take note of the word usage: Defeat. Not kill, merely defeat. Also, it spread quickly that it was indeed Goku who defeated Freeza. Nobody knew about Trunks except Goku and the gang, and Freeza himself (along with his hencman). And they died. Nobody else knew Future Trunks was a thing. So...yeah, Beerus was not wrong in saying that Goku defeated Freeza. Because he did. He left him for dead out in the open vacuum of space.

So little does anyone ever pick up on that reference, haha! It's a shame Jacques dies a few years ago.
Oh, and one other thing I feel about Freeza's transformation is that it pretty much could have been anything and people would have complained anyway. Folks really do give Toriyama a hard time about things these days. After he spent so long being detached from the series, it's nice to see him come in and work so happily on it.

Well seeing as how Whis' could see into the past, I'm sure he could also know how Freeza actually was defeated. Doesn't matter much though since the new movie acknowledges Trunks thankfully. Freeza wants both Goku and Trunks, not just Goku. I'm happy about that.

Regarding Vegeta, he ain't going to betray Gokû. He's friends with him now. We know that because of how things happened at the end of Dragon Ball manga. Vegeta still talks with Gokû 10 years after the defeat of Majin Boo.
