Oh yeah, no doubt it's infuriating. I've tried it multiple times and it's getting a little aggravating that Vegeta isn't transforming and challenging me to a fight. I'll be trying more tonight.

If you think Bargain Sale is bad, check out PQ 47, the one Kid Trunks gives you in Toki Toki. I almost through a controller through the TV when Goku brought himself back to life after something like 7 rounds of fighting.

Some of you may fondly remember Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya-jin Densetsu for the Super Famicom, yes? Well, if you don't, then that game was an RPG that went through the story from Raditz to Freeza, but there was a bonus epilogue if you did things just right. If you let a team mate die during the fight with Freeza, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan. Now, if you defeat Freeza, let Goku transform, AND still have Vegeta alive in your party, after the credits roll Vegeta shows up. He proclaims he, too, can now go Super Saiyan and you duke it out with him as a last bonus boss.
Now, in the PQ "The Super Saiyan Legend", you must get Goku as a supporter, recruit Krillin, and then let him die. Goku transforms. Now Vegeta will show up as supporter. Defeat Freeza, and keep Vegeta alive, and suddenly he will transform and fight you.
It's a beautiful little detail that shows how much love and care DIMPS put into this game - referencing an old SNES RPG is just great.
There are also some purple-toned Saibamen in the game who have the exact same colour palette as some of the "alternate" Saibamen from Super Saiya-jin Densetsu.

Just grind the Broly missions until you can do enough damage.

Ok this may sound random...but for some reason while fighting Broly I kept referring to him as "The Broly" and mocking his voice in the same tone as "The Boulder". Also when he's a brain dead idiot who says Kakarot only, I for some reason think the Brains from Futurama. "The Broly am winning again, I shall now leave for no raisin."
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Seriously, is there a list out there of which Parallel Quests unlock which costumes? Still having trouble with some. Granted I haven't done some of the PQs yet, but I rather do the character ones first.

I dunno. All I know is if you beat them all you get them all. Not sure what unlocks what though. I played all the quests and got all the costumes...sans Super 17 and Omega.

It's like the only thing the AI knows what to do in this game is block, stand back and fire off Ki blasts or supers. I spent like 5 tries on the Hercule fight. Luckily I did the Cell Jr. and Miira on my first try, by spamming the paralyzing Ki blast from Freeza's race.
I feel like my Saiyan should be converted to a Ki/Super attack character and my Human should be my Melee/Stamina guy. This is mostly because Saiyans have infi-supers thanks to Super Saiyan (although Super Vegeta is better for Ki apparently). I can't take the middle road with the attribute points, because I fall short in everything.
Trying to not have a weakness proves to be a weakness, in the end.

I haven't even got near beating them!
Focus on Beerus first. He goes down more quickly, and puts out more damage, so you want to get rid of him fast.
Be sure to have healing items in all your item slots, because Trunks will most likely die at some point, and if he does it before Beerus is dead, you're in trouble.
