I find PQ18 the least painful. At least I only have to tediously fight 1 person for a dragon ball, than fight 3 (and maybe 1 more) to get one in PQ2. If no one shows up, I restart. Saves time on fighting over and over until nothing happens.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to hop between those two missions, since supposedly varying it up improves your chances of a Dragon Ball dropping too. It's longer towards the end, but you instantly know whether you have to fight or not. Basically in the first few seconds of starting if a time patroller doesn't show up, restart. Repeat til one does and fight them. Repeat til they drop. Then do the rest of the Ginyu mission. The second part is longer than PQ2, but the first part takes away some of the tedium.

I've been leveling up a bit recently. I found the easiest way to do this is to fight
It's a very easy fight and it gives out 20000+ experience points. Plus, it's fairly easy to at least S rank it.
Also, I finally got Super Vegeta. The game is easy mode now! Using SSJ2 was a mistake for a Ki-centric character. Does anyone know what Super Vegeta 2 does? I'm wondering if I should go after it.

Finally found some more time to hit up Xenoverse. Managed to get through the Beerus/Whis fight eventually after much perseverence. The trick, regardless of level, is to get Beerus out od the way and then just avoid Whis and slowly chip away at him with Ki blasts and preserve health. Beerus is devasting with his specials, but Whis has next to none - but his melee attacks are brutal.
I am onto the Demigra/possessed Trunks fight next. I will probably catch up on PQ's tonight and tackle that one tomorrow.

But then you gotta skip all the before and after cutscenes. The PQ's you unlock during and after Bardock/Broly are much more rewarding in Ki and Zeni not to mention quicker.Super SaiyaJon wrote:I've been leveling up a bit recently. Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360/PC) Official Th
I am having a lot of fun with this game. As someone who's never owned the big name consoles, I have played very few DBZ games - basically just Budokai for Gamecube and Sparking Meteor/Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for Wii (enjoyed, would have enjoyed more if I had a classic controller probably). Nowadays I'm a PC gamer, so when I found this was actually coming to Steam (which surprised me) I decided I'd probably get it eventually, when the price dropped...but a friend surprised me with a gift copy just a few days before the PC release, so he'd have someone to play together with. Before I had the game I was like 'yeah this looks cool too bad I won't be able to get it for a while oh well', but once it was in my inventory I was actually getting really antsy, especially with console players already on it a full 4 days before the PC version was due to unlock.
In general I think of my Dragonball days as behind me. It'll always mean a lot to me but generally I have moved on and don't really keep on top of the new happenings - I still never saw Battle of Gods, never read that Bardock manga, and before Xenoverse came out I was only half paying attention to news about its release. But the game has unlocked some of my dormant nostalgia and despite a few nitpicks it's been a lot of fun to play, and pretty hard to stop. I don't usually like to rate things this way, but if I had to I'd probably say, for me, it's a 9/10. The gameplay is fun, the RPG aspects appeal to me, and perhaps most importantly the fact that it's not just 'here is the story Raditz through Buu again have fun' (though at the same time I'm sad that the story is truncated so much...going from Freeza to Perfect Cell felt all kinds of wrong). I haven't even touched any of the DBZ characters in my roster and I don't really plan to. To me the fun is building my OC and fitting them into the Dragonball universe...because that's basically all I did in high school (and I do plan to eventually recreate my high school OCs). I think it's great to finally see a more original setting that's not just a total rehash of events from the series...and my hopes for a possible Xenoverse 2 are that they take that aspect even further. Rather than some slight alterations to existing history, let's go 100% original content. Brand new story where your character has to fight alongside Gokou and friends. I think Xenoverse has this sort of 'come for the story you know, stay for the new content' appeal to it. It would have been risky to make the game take the full plunge to all original content, so the altered history is a great angle to sort of please both sides - but now, when people think 'Xenoverse' they'll think of that originality. If there's a Xenoverse 2 they can build on that and take more risks with an original story, IMO. Personally it's something I'd really like to see, using the video games to drive future storylines as much as, if not moreso, than new movies and specials.
So yeah. Good game. Good enough to make me reappear on Kanzenshuu from the shadows to make this post, at any rate.

The easiest way to level, after doing the Bardock/Broly Saga (and if you haven't, look for it in Online PQ's), is "Great Ape Festival". It's easy, quick, and even a D rank shells out 20k experience. S and Z-rank have been over 50k experience. Did them for a while and leveled rather quickly, then questioned how I got 700k zenni and figured I needed to spend some coinage.

Um, the updates needed a town down on the hard diffculty because, i want it on the experienced diffculty. ( And yes, i wanted the Saiyan saga on the experienced level because i am an almost hardcore player. If it happened on the update, i will go back to Xenoverse again. Just show me the easiest way to make it easy to defeat someone on the Saiyan Saga...at level 11. I am level 7 though. And i'll get failed too many times due to an ally dying or myself (<== Not me, my ally wanted to die because he hated life and he was yelling 'Get Her Fail rate to 100%.' I wish the developers will remove the penalty for my ally dying. Couldn't they go back up and get their some of their health back like the game that i played before xenoverse came out? I wanted my win rate to stay on 100%.)
Sadly, there is no diffculty setting that i can change. It's about luck.

They swap out every time you do a Parallel Quest. The chance of a specific mentor popping up though, like everything else, is presumably up to RNG.

My RNG seems to like just sticking me with one particular mentor for a while, gah. Maybe I should switch to working with their skills as long as they're around.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:They swap out every time you do a Parallel Quest. Yeah, it definitely seems to be working better this way (though still waiting on another DB drop), and I did just manage to max my original character! So after going and spending more zeni on more outfits/skills and such, I'll switch over to a different OC and start leveling them up.

Random Number Generator. Basically it means your odds of getting something you want are completely random. I personally like to call it Random Numbers Game, as it's practically a game of luck in itself whether you get what you want or not.Lord Beerus wrote:What does RNG stand for and mean?
