Wow, doing PQs online is so much easier and fun! Still, I wish Dimps would have let us alter the difficulty settings for offline mode...

PC players - Xenoverse was just patched to fix the teleport dodge bug.

It was caused by the mechanic being tied to the game's frame rate. At 29fps, 39fps and 76fps, the move would work correctly. Any other frame rate and it would only work occasionally - more often than not just making you vanish and reappear in the exact same spot.

This has now been addressed in today's patch. All frame rates work as intended. I am beyond impressed that this was fixed at all, let alone this fast! It's nice to see Japanese developers paying close attention to the PC platform. Good job!

Other changes involve nerfs to certain Z-Souls. In particular, 'I'll never forgive you, scum" was changed from unlimited ki to a charge to prevent the rampant ultimate spam it caused. The Kami-Piccolo Z-soul had its health recharge rate reduced so that attacks actually have a chance to do damage before it begins to recover.

Unfortunately there are no official patch notes yet (if they'll even come at all). Vanishing ki effects are still an issue and seemingly no tweaks to the RNG have been made.

Finally, the differences among Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Vegeta and Super Vegeta 2.

As a fanatic for Super Saiyan 2, I intend to use it all the time, not to mention I am a hand-to-hand warrior. But since this game is apparently hard, I also intend to use a lot of Super and Ultimate attacks...

Damn, Dimps. Why you do this to me!?

Bug fixing and balance changes in one patch?! :o I'm ecstatic!

I noticed the vanishing problem when I was playing earlier this week, and thought it was somehow my fault. I vanished into Piccolo's Makankosappo so many times. :problem:

Good to know the PC port is up and running great for you all, thinking about getting ti when i fully beat it on PS3, so that still may take a while but was afraid that it ended up being just as the Naruto games and the recent Rise of Incarnates, good to know Bamco is listening.

Anyway, completed both the Story and every PQ, have my namekian at LVL. 71 with balanced stats (because i'm an all-rounder and I hate choosing a playstyle around stats). I loved my whole experience so far but a few PQs have made me rage harder than I hoped they would due to their cheap AI. Speaking of AI, in contrast to the ever-evolving partner-AI of Battle of Z, the partner-AI of this game is pretty fucking terrible as they will DO NOTHING AT ALL during most of the course of the match, they will stand there, block a few times, use ki-blasts, get hit a lot and stand there again, they do however revive you unlike BoZ, so that's kind of a good thing.

STILL, I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH, I'm having so much fun, co-oping with people who choose their own characters feels so fresh (because there's these guys who just pick SSJ4 Vegeta) and while totally unbalanced due to the usage of Items, the PVP is pretty damn satisfatory as well, the Story Mode was really fun when the action didn't focus on the original events so much and while I HATE the RNG plaguing the PQs, the characters interactions are always a fun read (however, fuck Quest 32, 47, 54 and 55, I wll forever hate you).

Whew, I'm almost done with the Parallel Quests (still need to replay them for items and better rankings, but that will probably come later)!

However, the only quest I'm missing is #26, which is named "Warrior's Annihilation - Future Chapters". Any idea how to unlock it?

Talk to 17. He will be on your right after you return from a PQ near all the Time Machines.

I don't know much about game development, so anyone feel free to correct me on this rant.

Every time I look through Xenoverse's roster, it annoys me that some forms aren't in. Not because "they should be in because they were in the story" but because of how the characters/forms that got in were handled.

To start, there's the main three villains. Frieza's 100% form should have definitely been a transformation for Final Form. The way Dimps has transformations/power ups set up, that would've been perfect. IIRC Goku mentioned that Frieza's energy was dropping as he was in the form and that would translate perfectly into Xenoverse. Then there's Cell and his Full Power/Super Perfect/whatever you wanna call it. There's little to no difference between that and his regular Perfect form aside from the aura. I thought that it was cool back in Budokai 3 but now I realize that it's taking up space. They've gotta drop that shit. Finally, Buu. With the space saved by not bothering to make a model for a form Cell doesn't really have, there's room for Buu's absorption. Buutenks and Buuhan can share a slot and bam, everyone's happy on that end.

And then there's the Saiyans. For example:

- Goku. It could be argued that his numerous variations are justified because like half of them are battle-damaged clothes so all they're doing is making those usable (which is a step up from most previous Dimps games). But by doing that, we get weird shit like Goku with Cell Games battle-damage and Super Saiyan 2 on the same alt.
- Vegeta. First off, I commend them for keeping Saiyan/Frieza Saga and Cell/Buu Saga Vegeta in the same slot since Spike couldn't do that for some reason. Same with Goku, they made battle-damaged alts playable. I do miss Majin Vegeta a bit though.

Most of the Saiyans' problems could be fixed by taking a page from Raging Blast and adding interchangeable supers and forms to non-CaC characters.

Has anyone tried making an unkillable troll character whose only purpose is for PvP? I'm trying to plan this out and this is what I have so far.

- You get 237 points total, so 200 would be evenly distributed to Health, Ki, and Stamina while the rest goes to Attack.
- Clothes: Foolish-looking shit that ups your health, ki, and stamina.
- Supers: Taunt, Whatever pose gives you invincibility, Afterimage Strike, and Maximum Charge
- Ultimates: The Savior Has Come, one other one
- Z-Soul: Kamiccolo

A question, since I haven't played this game and am likely not going to for a while: who is and isn't a mentor?

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

That can't be right. You can get Cell and Ginyu as mentors.

Where you just going off the achievements? Because I'm absolutely not sure why not all of the mentors get achievements, is there a difference between the level of teaching you get from the ones with achievements?
