I don't think Naruto is popular as DBZ.

It's probably the anime that's closest to being as popular as DBZ on a worldwide scale now that the popularity of Pokemon has long since faded but no it still doesn't seem to have that more mainstream popularity that DBZ still has even today.

Which is saying something when DBZ ended well over a decade ago and Naruto is still going.

The way I see it, Kakarot giving up his softness is a really drastically change, each and every aspect. It is not "he is nervous", it is beyond that... Kind of another person, something Kakarot hide deep inside him.

To be honest i have a feeling goku and vegeta are going to both lose against frieza. Heck we might even get a sequel but i would love if goku was the one that defeated frieza once and for all with his SUPERMAN PLANET BENCHING, GALAXY SNEEZING STRENGTH! that he got from whis ofcourse

I'm impressed of how bad is that Naruto is not a catchy main character like Goku or Urameshi, I think people may like the show because of secondary or minor characters

I don't think DBZ is on the level of Pokemon when it comes to being popular worldwide. Pokemon is still a huge money maker and hasn't died since 1996/1998. DBZ is still popular and has it's fans but it's nowhere as popular as it was from 1996 - 2003.

We have seen this before. He would see Vegeta as an enemy and everything will go back. Only that Kakarot will not be sure if Vegeta is lying at all. And seriously... A third match betweem them? Nah, save that for Dragon Ball Online plot.

Naruto I didn't think was instantly likeable in the same way Goku or Luffy was, in fact I found him a bit annoying at first but over the course of the series he has had a lot of character development and become a very good character in his own right.

I was referring to the anime specifically as opposed to the franchise as a whole. Pokemon at its peak was most likely the most popular any anime has ever been on a worldwide scale but now its nowhere near as popular as it used to be and even though it still airs its not as popular as what DBZ is now.
