What facts do you guys like/dislike so far regarding the movie?

+Toriyama is writing the whole thing.
+ Freeza getting the closure he deserves.
+ Freeza's new form.
+ Vegeta finally taking down a main villain.
+ Bringing Vegeta's story full circle.
+Goku&Vegeta training with Whis.
+ Beerus being in.
+ Finally getting a war themed story.
+ Goku getting beaten up.
+ The other Z warriors having a major role.
+ Getting a darker story unlike BOG.
+ Goku&Vegeta's new outfits.
+ Improved animation.

- All the hate it's getting.
- Having to wait 3 more weeks to know the whole story.

Oh, and I guess Super Saiyan God Vegeta too, if that actually does turn out to be a thing.

How else would he beat Freeza ?

So do they just hand you the "gift" when you buy a ticket? You don't have to do anything else or go to a specific theatre or anything?

They give it to you on your way in the door to the auditorium. You can't just buy a ticket and not show up (although you don't have to stay for the movie once you get what you came for).

Anyway now that Toei have come out and given a box office goal for Revival of F which is considerably more than Battle of Gods then what do you think it would do for the franchise if this movie was to gross less than it?

what do you think it would do for the franchise if this movie was to gross less than it? No more movies?

Thew reason the goal is higher is because the tickets that are pre ordered are 30% more then BOG' pre orders so chances are it'll reach it.

With how little they put into these which is half or a million $ I think it could do as low as BOG and we'd still get more but they know it'll do better then that or they wouldn't have that number as their goal.

He might do that in the next movie seeing as he gave each one their own movie in BOG and ROF.

I think the other card must be Golden Freeza for Dragon Ball Heroes. And if I got right, we are going to be able to play as Kakarot's and Vegeta's versions of the new movie in Xenoverse. That's beyond the beyond awesome!

Not really... Many people here though that GT was bad because Toriyama was not into it, but after seeing BoG and some of Minus... I guess that's not really true.

You shouldn't be surprised cause he said he looks at it as a side story and he's writing these movies as a continuation to the manga.

toei canon is:

the father of goku - db anime - dbz anime - dbgt anime

So, you know how there was that scanslation thing a while back saying Toriyama was drawing a manga, which would be handed out to those attended the movie?

Well, sorry to disappoint you, but it seems whoever did that translation didn't know what the heck they were doing. According to the blog, what's getting handed out is a book containing Toriyama's script for the movie, design sketches, explanations of things, etc. Not a manga.

In general what I expected, but getting the script is surprising.

Explanation #1:
Why is Freeza's new form gold?
Well, I was thinking of a color I hadn't chosen for the major villains, and that's just the first one that came to mind. Plus, it makes him look...super! *laughs*

Explanation #2:
Why is Gohan a SSJ?
He became one during the android bit, I recall.

Explanation #3:
But he got a new power-up in the Buu saga, did he not?
