First, 99.9 percent of all saiyan population didnt have a power level of more than three thousand, there was only couple elite saiyans that had power level of 4-10k
and there was only 2 super elites who were vegeta and king vegeta who had a power level of more than 10k.
If its true that saiyans could improve dramically thru zenai why didnt they evolve? why is that that almost every single saiyan had a same power level like the other saiyan. Were they just not interested in competing against each other? Why is it that every saiyan was so weak. their only source of real power was too transform into ozaru.
Also Freeza had a power level of 530,000 in his first form and not 50,000 so get your facts straight. Ozaru's are freaking slow and Freeza knew about the weakness of their tails therefore he would had no problem dealing with saiyans.

Er.... 50.000 x 10 (Oozaru) = 500.000. Maybe you should check your math before you tell me to check my facts...

The rest of what you said about their power is purely speculation. And there's no "if its true". Its established in the manga that saiyans have zenkais and even Freeza mentioned that, so there's no disputing that. Finally, its doesn't matter that they aren't very strong, the problem was their ability to dramatically improve.

That would be awesome, considering the second half of Dragon Ball Z movies are very action heavy and having Shida and Tate's animation supporting the intense actions scenes would make for an even more awesome experience.

I did think it would be very interesting if the shot of that planet being destroyed we saw in the trailer ended up being the very last scene in the movie

What would be better is if it happens after the credits without any context.

As long as the planet in question wouldn't be the Earth, I wouldn't mind it.
Having everyone explode shortly after they did in the Buu Saga would be overdoing it.

Yeah, that was a cool move. I also like how he utilizes his telekinesis in the games. I think Budokai Tenkaichi calls it "Psycho Smasher," or something like that? The one where he telekinetically throws a bunch of rocks, then jumps behind the enemy and traps them in that ball. A nice change from shooting laser beams out of his hands.

Oozarus are not slow. Goku (or Vegeta, I don't recall) specifically notes in their battle that even though they increase in size, their speed does not decrease.

Yeah, took me a few minutes, but I looked it up, and the move is indeed called "Psycho Lock Smasher" in Budokai Tenkaichi 2, by Freeza in his Final Form.

Well Bardock's was supposedly 10k after getting wrecked by Dodoria. Hence why Freeza's minions were getting brushed aside by the score. And Nappa's max power was 6000, so his oozaru form would be 60k.

As far as the commentary about the Saiyans not 'evolving', it has to do with the strength of their competition. And they were never sent against anything that was especially dangerous for them, because Freeza didn't want them getting strong and becoming a potential threat. That was kind of the idea behind the "Bardock: Father of Goku" film in that Bardock would take his team and routinely engage against stronger forces that were considered dangerous even for Freeza's elite teams. That'd be 'elite' by their terms and still not up there in the same categories as Zarbon and Dodoria, much less the GInyu's.

This month's issue comes out on the 20th, actually. (Normally V-Jump comes out on the 21st, but this month it's the first day of spring, which is a holiday in Japan, so it gets released a day early.)

I'll probably have it on Thursday the 19th, though (and that may still be evening on Wednesday the 18th for you, depending on what time zone you're in).

So? The problem was not how strong they were at that moment, it was how strong they could quickly become since they had proven that they could dramatically improve quickly. An saiyan with training and a few Zenkais could perfectly reach 50.000, and with Oozaru he would rival first form Freeza.

Freeza killed off the saiyans because he noticed their ability to improve and what happened later on in the manga proved that his fears were completely justified. Vegeta, for example, only needed three zenkais to go from 18.000 to a power level that could hold off first form Freeza without even needing Oozaru. And with a forth zenkai he became stronger than Nail-Piccolo and stronger than third form Freeza.

So, in short, in the manga, everything points towards Freeza being right about his fears. The only thing that screws with that is the notion in this movie that Freeza knew that he could train for a little while and reach Beerus' level.

Actually Bardock would surpass 10.000 if he got into the recovery machine again after his conflict with Dodoria. When Bardock was in the recovery machine, it was before he went to planet Meat.
