One thing early on that caught my eye is when Toriyama-sensei said that it made sense for Vegeta to have engrish names for all his attacks ("Garlic Gun," "Big Bang," Final Flash"... he's right!). Was Vegeta meant to be portrayed as western in some way, or was it just the language that Toriyama-sensei picked?

Wow, I just finished reading the interview and it was very interesting.
I heard a rumor that Toriyama didn't like Vegeta (you know the guy that constantly wears tights and is made a fool of on several occassions) but I never knew that Piccolo was one of his favorite characters
. Now I want to look into some of the things that motivated Toriyama's work like the Fanicom games and the martial arts movies.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.
