People have been saying Vegeta will beat Freeza ever since we found out Freeza was coming back and we saw that early promotional pic of Goku beaten and bloody. The latest trailer seems to make that even more clear.

Plus AT said after Battle of Gods he would like Vegeta would play the main role.

It seems they do intend to focus on Vegeta. He's prominent even in the Heroes Fukkatsu no F stuff alongside Goku. But I will laugh real hard if it turns out Vegeta jobs. Just cause it'd really go against everyone's expectations, and probably make Vegeta fans hate this movie if that happened, even if the movie was good overall. Not that I want that to happen, it's just the backlash if it did would be huge.

Hoping to see 18 kick some ass in this after the newest blog entry. Her return to the battlefield is long overdue.

I'm hoping to see #17 and #18 reunite and kick ass together. That would be pretty cool.

I'm all for this. I've always loved those two and have been waiting for 17 to make a return, sadly I doubt he ever will.

Also for everyone asking about Krillin's hair, the character bio for 18 says that give an indication 18 wants to fight again so she shaves his head so that it doesn't get in the way. Based on the blog saying that his hair's long and the bio saying she's shaving it, I'm pretty sure there will be a tender moment between the two after all.

Goku loses and asks Vegeta to kill Frieza, just as Vegeta asked him did on Namek. Vegeta accepts, and goes to fight Frieza. This is his moment, what everyone has been waiting for. The theater is anxious as Vegeta grabs the spotlight. He powers up to fight Frieza, and the theater itself quakes (in 4D). Vegeta rushes Frieza with his full power and... he jobs. Frieza stomps him. Obliterates him. It might even get the movie an R rating, the horror. Just as Vegeta assumes his all-too-familiar role and Frieza is about to kill him, a faint light is seen on the screen, one which grows to a blinding light. It's the Solar Flare. The auxiliary forces have arrived: Piccolo, Gohan, Majin Buu, Sndroids 17 and 18, Tarble and Jaco, Abo and Cado, Arale (just a joke, as is the entirety of this post...) and the Humans, except for Krillin. As they all rush Frieza with their mosy powerful attacks, both physical and chi-based, they are easily swatted away, but they were just the distraction. Piccolo, quite possibly as a Super Namek God, grabs Frieza in the most deadly move in Dragon Ball, escaped by none but Beerus himself: A Full Nelson. Trapping Frieza, he screams "Now Krillin! I can't hold him much longer!" Frieza responds, angered "Curse you! Know you not whom you show such insolence!" and attempts to break the hold, only to be cut in half by the Kienzan, which cuts Piccolo in the process, though he regenerates.

Vegeta jobs, and Krillin launches a Kienzan out of nowhere.
--or--
Out of nowhere super attack from everybody!
--Or--
[Future] Trunks slices Frieza in half in the exact same fashion as before. Who knows, maybe he could be a higher level of Super Saiyan since Frieza is a higher level than before too.

And then when Goku and Vegeta both fail, Piccolo wonders why as a Namekian, with all of their apparent mystical power to create dragon balls, can't transform or attain a higher form. So he absorbs the dragon balls and becomes the Dragon God and defeats Freeza easily. Then as a side-effect he has to sleep for a year before he can use his powers again.

That seems like it'll be the inevitable climax to the film at this point, which I'm sure is great for Vegeta fans, but for people who are less crazy about Vegeta like me, it's a bit disappointing. I'm not saying that Goku should always be the one to save the day...but Vegeta? At the very least, I hope Freeza's defeat in this film will be a dual/team effort, rather than simply having Vegeta fighting Freeza on his own, and coming out on top.

Vegeta deserves a moment like this. It's always been either Goku or Gohan. Vegeta has rarely ever gotten the defining moment. The only defining victory he's ever had in DB against a significant antagonist has been his victory over Android 19. Goku on the other hand has beaten Freeza and Buu. Gohan beat Cell. It's about time Vegeta gets the chance to defeat a major antagonist and Freeza fits that bill more than anyone considering their history.

I was very hyped about this movie in the beginning but i lost most of it after watching a few trailers, I feel like this movie is only going to give us more unanswered questions. hopefully the fight scene would atleast remain consistent, i dont want goku or vegeta getting pwned by simple rocks or crater impact size blasts when they should be easily tanking star sized explosions or atleast on the scaled level with no effort considering how their base forms are thousand times stronger than ssj3 forms.

Well if they're gonna draw more parallels, then perhaps Piccolo does a full nelson and Krillin finally gets to beat a main villain. YAY!

Though I'd love if Future Trunks came out of nowhere and slices Freeza in half. Freeza would be all "YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME!"

I'd totally support this. Give Dragon Master Piccolo the power to be super awesome and waste Freeza's ass. All in revenge for Freeza practically wiping out the Namek race. They've got history now.

Meh, I personally don't think Vegeta "deserves" to be the one to defeat Freeza, at least not on his own. Hes not really the kind of character I'd like to see be the hero. To me, it's kind of like having Batman be the one to defeat Darkseid, or some other big Justice League villain. To each their own though.
