Except he's not the king. His father still is. I don't think people understand royalty that well. The Saiyans are the type of royalty that the prince must be made king by... Well, the king. But since Freeza killed his father, the king, he's forever the prince. Another reason he hates Freeza so much. He robbed him of the title.
Oh wow! This so called rumoured ending sounds so absurd, Vegeta's hair increases in colour as the battle progresses, Vegeta ramming his fist in Freeza as the finishing move LOL And the most absurdest thing of all a 28min final battle, yeah this is all a bunch of hooey it seems a Vegeta fanboy looked at the trailer and worked this "leaked ending" around that.

That's really not that absurd considering Toriyama has said this movie will have a lot more action.

...no. It doesn't /have/ to be stated anywhere. It's quite frankly how some royalties do it. In fact I believe it was indeed the Romans whose royalties worked that way; of which the Saiyans were inspired from.

A lot more action I am behind that but a straight up almost half an hour battle in a theatrical movie is way too much, it will get boring after 10 mins or so. I also can't imagine Toei willing to animate a half an hour long fight sequence on top of the other fights in the movie.

How would it be a plot hole? It makes sense, and adds to Vegeta's hatred of Freeza. If anything, it FIXES the hole of Vegeta walking around calling himself the prince when he should be the king. It only makes sense that they have the kind of royalty where they can only be made king by the previous king or someone else of equal power.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
who in the right mind would complain about vegeta beating or killing frieza?

for the non vegeta fans, sry but it is a fact that vegeta deserves a chance to fight frieza.

I'm a Vegeta fan too(beside Goku, Piccolo and Beerus), but I don't want Vegeta to kill Freeza in a too similar way like Goku had done, just because I want a real cause for someone to open a gate to leave fot other universe, not only to find stronger opponents, because that is very cheap. That kind of trait had worked only in the very beginning of the story, right after when Bulma met Goku. If Torishima praised Toriyama for the script, then I expect a something real of a suprise. I s a surprise that Vegeta defeats Freeza in a similar like Goku, doing that along with a grand Saiyan-speech. Freeza can potentially be the only one to have real reasons to open a gate(as we don't have any other villains) because even if he will beat Goku but there are 3 other beings who might potentially be stronger than him, so he shall run away.

I'm still waiting for Dragon Ball in Super...
