Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

While I understand why many are excited to see Vegeta kick Frieza's ass and get "revenge", I don't want him to be the one who defeats Frieza.
Goku vs Frieza is the biggest rematch in anime history. It should be the big finale of the movie.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Yeah, it technically happened in one of the alternate timelines. And in GT, if you want to call that a rematch.RandomGuy96 wrote:The Goku vs Freeza rematch already happened.Pliskin Femto wrote:While I understand why many are excited to see Vegeta kick Freeza's ass and get "revenge", I don't want him to be the one who defeats Freeza.

Cell would probably be the one character most against training. His entire mindset is centered on the fact that he's perfect. If he had to train.....fadeddreams5 wrote:Cell might have the greatest potential of all the characters in this franchise though. All that concept of "Anyone can become a Elite if they train hard though" introduced in RoF seems to be a fail to me. Villains training and stuff, so anyone with training can surpass anyone... Maybe if Vegetto trains for 4 months he could surpass a Potara Fusion Beerus + Whis lol

One of the Bulma blog entries. It mostly confirmed he won't be in the movie outside of flashbacks. And it is fair enough. Future Trunks has enough of screen-time/attention. No need to bring him back. Not enough to see Freeza coming back...
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Well, duh, he's one of the most popular characters in the series and he has only been in one arc, it's normal that fans want to know more from him.Dyno wrote:And it is fair enough. Future Trunks has enough of screen-time/attention. No need to bring him back. Not enough to see Freeza coming back...

I don't even know people like Future Trunks, he's boring. He's only popular in Japan because he's pretty.

Limiting other characters to shine for those with more "popularity" to appear only to please the fans...
Yep, I know that's how unfortunately works.
And that's why that stupid thing appears in every freaking place.

Huh? Future Trunks is insanely popular in DB fandoms worldwide and with good reason. Just watch the History Of Trunks TV special, and you'll understand why so many people root for the guy.SSJGFrieza wrote:I don't even know people like Future Trunks, he's boring. Usually doesn't work out as well as one would think when a villain does it.Mewzard wrote:I don't really get the complaints against Freeza going stronger from training. Almost every shonen to ever exist has this, and Jump is full of such series. Dragon Ball does this.
Why is it okay for the Heroes to do it, but not the Villains?
I barely like SSJG since its rehashing old concepts not to mention Toriyama needs to ease up on simplistic designs to that degree since people are already starting to make memes about itAlso, I really like SSJ God and Golden Freeza. If you didn't expect this kind of stuff from Toriyama, then you haven't been paying attention, lol.

but Golden Freeza is just redundant, uninspired, uncreative, and lazy on Toriyama's part when I know he can design much better than that. I would still keep the design and color scheme as its a step in the right direction, but there needs to be some changes and variations to Freeza's design as of now nly that the colors are too bright and don't mesh well with each other. There's too much yellow and not enough purple to balance it out so it looks uneven and somewhat of an eyesore. I think Golden Freeza would work better if he looked similar to this...

That looks more balanced and on point to me as the color would mesh better, I'm sure someone could do a better edit/Photoshop than me to make it work better, but that's the general idea.
Goku absorbed the power of SSJG, he can use it in his base form, Turning SSJ does nothing for him but turn his hair blonde, he's still the same power. As for the ritual, its probably the same for everyone minus absorbing the SSJG power that it is. Goku is the only one so far capable of that, Vegeta might be able to in RoF, but you'll just have to wait and see.bleed0range wrote:One thing I don't like about the God transformation is how confusing it is. You don't just transform you have to have a little ritual. And then what? Goku absorbed it and can now use it involuntarily or voluntarily? Is his base form now just stronger and he can't actually transform? How would Vegeta achieve it without the ritual? If anyone else achieved it would they always have to do the little ritual? Just wish it was as clean cut as super saiyan. Just bam you transform.
