Super stoked about it being released this year!

Now I won't have to worry about spoilers near as much as I did with BoG.

Honestly, I kind of hope it's the truth and not just a polite excuse, because...well, say what you will about her work one way or the other, she was announced to be reprising, and then suddenly wasn't. If it was just them backing off without some kind of reason, then that just doesn't sit well with me (kind of the way the other Z cast were basically let go without being told, at all).
"We don't think she's talented as the character and found someone better" isn't a good reason?

I love the title they went with. "Resurrection of Freeza" or really anything that actually spells out his name just seems...bland and obvious to me.

And I think "Resurrection 'F'" sounds fine in English. Sort of like "Generation X".

They may have to do the dubbing faster as summer is like 4 months away. August is at the very latest. BoG took more than 5 months.

It's perfectly fine, and (not to speak for him, but...) I think Gyt Kaliba would have been perfectly fine with it if they had just decided it from the get-go.

He said he doesn't like the idea that they might have cast her, recorded episode one of Kai, and then said "Yeah... actually, nevermind. Bye!" for no reason. It reeks of poor planning and seems overly rude. I don't like the idea of that either. That's why we want that "she couldn't keep up with the mouth flaps" rumor to be true. It provides a reason for why they didn't just go with Ayers in the first place.

Question is could they use the same trailer theme as the last film?

I was going to elaborate, but MagicBox got it covered for me, so - yeah, exactly as he said.

It's again more or less the same reason I'm not fond of the way they gave Vollmer, Nadolny, Jackson, and Antonelli (and some others I might be forgetting?) the boot. I understand that business is business, and let's be honest - as much a part of 'let's get better/more fitting actors and actresses for the roles' was a part of the re-casting, 'let's get people that are in other things and more likely to be hanging around when we need them' is probably an even bigger part of it - but c'mon. They had been playing the roles for over a decade by that point. They had officially dubbed everything of the franchise up to that point. I think they deserved a little notification that they were being let go at least, rather than having to find out from fans once it was announced. That's just awful.

Ah, to be in LA, no? They seem to get a lot of stuff like this either at main theaters or at conventions. But at least the dub will probably turn up here later this year in the local theater. Been to quite few including Battle of Gods that way...

I really wish they would just do English versions of the original trailers, like VIZ does. Or at the very least use "F" somewhere in it.

I think Resurrection F is a great title choice. I'm glad they kept it true to the source, and I feel it's better without an "of" or the like. Totally pleased with this.

"F" had to be kept anyway since it's a reference to a song actually named "F", which is even featured in the movie.

But I thought there would be a double "F" title like in Japanese, where you repeat the letter "F" in "Fukatsu no F".
So I thought the title would be an "F" word to go along with Freezer, like "Freezer Forever", "Forever Freezer", "Forthcoming F", "Formidable F", "Fortified F", "Foolproof F", etc...

I wonder if other countries are going to inherit the English title ("Battle of Gods" was given in the Japanese title itself and used as-is all around the world, but "Resurrection F" was apparently made up by Funimation specifically for the US release, so will other countries use it or will they come up with their own title based on the original Japanese?)

Ha, that's actually what I was going to post. Seems like a lot of the peole who are complaining about the title, English isn't their first language, it seems. Resurrection F does sound good.

Still in shock that we're getting the English dub so soon :o

To be fair there's more to this forum than just that one question... As for who voices him, can we get both? Maybe not in a movie theater, but on Blueray or something? I'm always a fan of more options. I know it's not going to happen, but I think that'd be a neat idea. I'd love to see if for Kai too, but that's a lot more work than just one movie. Discuss the dub here, when we hear more about it :P (puns)

It's actually evolved into some cool talking points. I just assumed it would get closed since the moderators like to keep similar threads all in one place. I thought it would end up being similar to the main movie thread. Sorry!

But would you rather they have kept using a voice past the first episode even though they realized they made a mistake? I agree that it would be poor planning and could come off as rude, but that's sunk cost. Sure, they should be tactful when letting the actors go, but don't compound the issue by letting someone keep the role they aren't fit for.

Also, I will say it again, finding someone better IS a reason to let someone go. Whether you agree with it doesn't matter, it's a reason.

I agree that the actors could be let go nicer, and whether they were or weren't I don't know. But this wasn't my point. I'm saying I'm glad they didn't keep going with Young regardless of their reasons. They could've not liked the cut of her jib for all I care.

No the reason she's no longer voicing Freeza is because Funimation are dicks

She literally could not keep up with the script. I don't see how that's Sabat's fault.

I might be looking too deep into this, but I think this film is going to be a wide release in the US. The images Funimation released in announcement of the film's release in the US says "Coming to theatres summer 2015" rather than "Coming to select theatres summer 2015", so hopefully that says something. I could be totally wrong though and we'll only be getting this for a week.
