Favourite Gohan and Piccolo moments?

Post by Rory » Mon Nov 06, 2006 9:20 am

Yeah, I know this has most likely been done before, but I love hear other fans oppinions on these sentimental Dragonball moments.
My favourite moment has to be, sometime in Gohans training, when he is sitting on a mountain with Piccolo, and Gohan is just talking away, and ends up inviting Piccolo to his birthday party. Its been ages since I saw this scene, so I can't remember the diaglogue exactly.
So, what are your favourite Gohan and Piccolo moments?

Let's see... a few notable ones I can remember...
  • Piccolo dying to protect Gohan from Nappa.

    Their reunion on Namek.

Piccolo's death and Gohan's reaction in GT.
That's all I got right now.

My favourite moment has to be when Gohan defeats Cell, then Piccolo goes to him and says "You have become strong kid."
sai ram
Buu: Knock Knock
Vegeta: Who's there?
Buu: Buu
Vegeta: Buu who? (boo hoo)
Buu: Aww don't cry.....

Piccolo sacrificing himself to protect Gohan.
Gohan asking Piccolo for a Namek Warrior's clothe.

I like the bit the most where Gohan tries to act all friendly and Piccolo shins him away calling him a brat. Classic. But Piccolo jumping in to save Gohan was very touching too.

I guess everything Kaboom said and Piccolo's reaction when Gohan became Oozaru for the first time.. priceless. Piccolo teaching Gohan how to beatbox was pretty touching, too. Don't ask.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

I also love the moment, when Piccolo passes away infront of Gohan, and Gohan screams " Oneechaaaaan!! ", and the music.. oh the music! So emotional.

Also, I love it when (right after the moment I just mentioned) Gohan screams, and like, a mili-second lated, Vegeta's scouter goes off, its so awesome.
" 700.. 1200... 2400... 2800!! "
So damn awesome.

Did I mishear it? Or did I misphrase? ^^'
I could have sworn thats what he says, 'Cause from what I know, it means older brother/sister, which Piccolo kinda is to Gohan (More of a father really, but ah well.).

I seem to remember he simply says "Piccolo san!".
from what I know, it means older brother/sister
It means "older sister" specifically, so... ^^;

Or you could just say:
I think you mean " Oniichan " Which means older brother.

And I'm pretty damn sure he says Oniichan. Gimme a sec.

I could, but I don't remember Gohan calling him that.

He screams "ojisan" which means "Uncle"... which makes sense, considering Steve Simmon's subs always translate "Piccolo ojisan" as "Uncle Piccolo."
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
