I think we'll get a dubbed trailer from FUNimation, and perhaps an English-subtitled one from Toei (if we get a subtitled one at all).

I do hope the subtitled preview screening is a sign of things to come, though. I was actually quite surprised that FUNimation didn't hold subtitled screenings for BoG. I wanted to see it in theaters dubbed (and watch it subtitled on home video), so this wasn't a huge deal for me. However, I was surprised because it's a break from what FUNimation has done with other movies they've released on the big screen. In most instances, they schedule a lot of dubbed screenings, but a few subtitled ones here and there for those who want to watch it that way. So for the sake of those fans, I hope they do the same with Resurrection F.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Here's hoping some of the showings are subtitled. I will not suffer through anything else.

Really? As good as the dub is now, you would be "suffering" if you were to watch it?

Some people are always gonna be bitchy about dubs, even if they're better acted than the original language.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Yeah, now that you mentioned. I tried... Kinda strange for me. But I'm still surprised even for you guys don't sound naturally.

I may be in the minority opinion, however. A lot of Naive English speakers might feel differently.

No offense to the dub, it's fine. But wouldn't you just rather hear the voices you're used to?

I prefer subs. If there aren't any subbed screenings nearby, I'll probably wait for the blu-ray. I'll watch the dub on home video, but if it's a theater, I'd want subbed.

I kinda hope so too. I don't mind the dub anymore, they're good nowadays, but I want my first experience with the movie to be with the Japanese cast. I'd feel a little bummed, if I don't, but I'll live.

That's fine. I just consider "have to suffer through it" to be overly harsh.

Hmm, compared how some/most american fans are towards the japanese cast, he was like the most polite guy.

Well, I've blocked most of the group you're referring to that are present on Kanzenshuu, so this is the one I saw.

To be fair, there's plenty of fans of the Japanese who are extremely harsh towards the English even with Kai.
Also I don't find the generalization of "most American fans hate the Japanese" fair either

Don't really see the point in blocking users. It just ends up removing the context to topics.

Dubbed or subbed I think the movie will be great. I've only recently started watching the series subbed, but regardless of which way you watch it the feature will be enjoyable in my opinion. I'll be seeing the movie dubbed in theaters and eventually subbed when the blu-ray comes out, but it would be cool if Funi would do a wider scale subbed release for those who enjoy the Japanese cast. I remember them giving Trigun a similar treatment a few years ago.

I couldn't be more F fair. I said some/most, didn't say all. Everytime I see a japanese DB video, there's always americans bitching about Sean being a better Goku and Nozawa being the worst thing ever.

The most recent example, the last jap trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0bArxJ ... xSwVBaeRRg
You find comments like :

Am I the only one who thinks Goku's Japanese voice is annoying as fuck ?
Can't take Goku seriously with that Grandma voice
Dragon Ball is the only anime where I choose dub over sub. Sean is Goku. Goku is a grow up man, not a child.
*insert more insults here*

Completely unnecessary! I don't care about english dub, so I don't bother comenting in their videos at all.
Spoiled people, that's all. All they deserved was to get the movie subbed in their country, if anything.

Personally, if this movie was showing in a theater near me, but they were only showing the English dub... I'd still go see it. I mean, I genuinely enjoyed Battle of Gods in English, and I see no reason to assume Resurrection F will be handled any worse. And at this point... I just want to see the movie. For as skeptical as I was when I first heard the premise, the last trailer really got me excited for it.

Yeah, I strongly dislike Goku's Japanese voice too. I've never understood the logic behind it. It's the only dub I know with his voice like that. Is it supposed to be funny irony in Japan (big muscular guy with squeaky voice) or something? I don't get it...>.>

I personally think thought that's just how most Shonen protagonist are voiced. That and I feel it suites Goku's actual character, but so does Schemmel's.

Though, I think it's kinda funny how most dub fans hate the Japanese voice of Goku, but some throw riots in demand that Young comes back as Freeza...

If you were to watch the series from the very beginning in Japanese and gotten to know Goku, who he is, what he looks like, and what he sounds like over the course of 132 episodes, and then tune in to episode 133 when this tall, turban-clad man shows up, whose friends don't even recognize him, and then you hear that familiar voice... then you'd understand the logic behind it.

I used to dislike Goku's Japanese voice, but after watching Battle of Gods I started liking it a lot.
