Fans thoughts on GT in light of BoG, FnF

So back when GT came out fans seemed to dislike it because "Goku glory hog," "how can Base (character name here) beat so and so foe?" "Its to goofy, and not dark!" But with Battle of Gods, Mr. Toriyama's various comments about Goku and Super Saiyan transformations, and now Revival of F, how do fans look at GT now?
I think GT began something Akira is now "testing", that Goku and co. are growing, breaking past the Super Saiyan crutch. Even the Old East Kaioshin said transforming into SS is the wrong way of going about things. Its about inner strength, and making their Base form stronger. Now GT Kid Goku beating everyone in Base form doesn't look bad or not make sense now. DOn't you think?
Plus DB started as goofy and gags, BoG showed that side of DB fantastically! Also it seems Toriyama is giving many characters closure. #18 and Krillin having a tender moment, Gohan and Videl's happy moment over the baby news and so on and so forth. So tell me fandom, what you think?

Nothing has changed for me. GT is still just a side-story/alternate reality tale. It's a series with several good ideas, but also many bad ones, as well as piss poor execution on every side of the spectrum.

Honestly the fandom's hate of GT seems odd and almost scary. Not every DB related thing needs to be "extra hardcore fighting and SS15!!" Plus DB makes no sense! In DB Goku went to space without issue, than he becomes a adult and its a issue! Truly the franchise has solid writing! Loose up! Sheeh.

Nothing has changed about GT for me. If anything, I like it less since I'm finally getting really good Dragon Ball content with the new movies.

I don't have nearly as many problems with GT as some do, but I still think it should be as far away from these new movies as possible. They shouldn't be connected in anyway, and if the new movies even end up retconning GT...well, I'd be find with that.

Dragon Ball GT entertains on its own, just like all the movies that aren't part of the main continuity. It shouldn't be taken that serious to change people's eyes, but... What can I do about it?
Dragon Ball GT is cool alone and let us maintain like that, whenever someone wants to see it, just "go there" and pay a visit to it with nothing but to entertain oneself only.

My own as well as most others opinions on GT have been given time and time again.

It had some good ideas but didn't pull them off well. It was too childish, Goku shouldn't have become a kid, Pan is one of the worst anime characters ever, the animation was poor, the character designs were poor, the story was poor, most of the main characters hardly had any screentime etc.

It had barely anything going for it.

But GT is the reason we have so much fanart of SSJ5+.

Anyways, there's just so much I personally dislike about the series and the direction they went. Too much to list...

Edit: That all said, I like GT more than modern specials like Episode of Bardock, Minus, and OVA. SSJ4 > SSJG too.

Lol, Pan is not the worst anime character ever, there are dozens of anime characters who fit that bill. She's annoying like any kid that age, but worst? Far from it.
Yes the writing was poor at times, but so was the Goku training in God's palace arc in Dragon Ball. It ended abruptly in the midst of Son Kun learning a lesson. As my Username suggests I like GT, but I can also see its faults. But I'm saddened that GT is still frowned upon in light of new content.

My opinion is the same as this post. GT sucked and time to move on. I don't want to see anything from GT to return or revisit when there's better and more original ideas out there. I for once is happy that Toriyama is back since he has give us better ideas and more cooler stuff then Toei did during the 90's.

Awesome ideas like "everybody stands in a circle to power up goku" and "base goku stronger than everyone" and "freeza returning". You'd never see that in GT.

At least BOG had a original plot to it and Beerus was not some typical bad guy of the day like Lord Slug, Super #13, Broli and Bojack where. Beerus had personality and had a good backstory. I feel like Garlic Jr, Dr. Uiro and Hirudegarn are the only villains from DBZ Movie 1-13 that had the best written back stories to them and had some level of depth to them. The other older DBZ movies were generic and boring at best. As much I love Janemba, I can admit that he was badly written character since he had no personality and character development at all. He was a demon that threw everything out of balance for fun. Janemba, Tullece, Coola, Broli and Bojack could have been amazing villains if they where handled probably and written much better.

The problem is that in gt, Goku didn't lose his ssj.
In BoG or FnF base Goku is stronger than buu, but at least he can't transform any more and become 50x stronger than he already is.
With gt, base goku is already stronger than Gohan and they still gave him ssj4.

I don't hate gt, but recently I learned new things on gt thanks to some forums who make me even more crazy about the hax.
Goku base against Rildo is stronger than his ssj self in BoGT? How?
Goku ssj against super 17 is stronger than majuub ?
Base Goku was able to stop omega shenron's attack?

Goku ssj3 being the same level or a little stronger than Gohan should be amazing enough.
But they did even worse, and even gave Goku some nonsense boost DURING gt.
