He alongside everyone else sensed Tarble. He didn't forget. He only forgot how to fight. Big difference. If he sensed 4 minutes earlier. He clearly didn't forget. He also did Fusion Dance which require equal ki.

True, though I wonder how you forget ki sensing in a fight. I understand in Piccolo's case as he was so focused on 17 he didn't feel Cell. But in Gotens case shouldn't he be focusing on Kado's ki. Ki sensing is usually instinct too so...*Shrug*

I agree with GmGoken on this one... But not because they are not in the movie but because of the explanation how Toriyama tries to let them skip this one

Instead of fooling super powered ki sensing children he could easily make another explanation which would make more sense like this one...They went with Dende to New Namek to meet the people their and have some fun in their free time

And it is really silly... Tenshinhan, Krillin and Roshi... The hope of the earth against an alien invasion.. But SS kids with a SS3 fusion should just watch the show in TV and let the earth being destroyed... cuz Bulma said so. Yup awesome... It's the same Bulma who had no problem letting her boy going against Buu... Or letting Gohan fight as kid.

Hell not even ChiChi could do such stuff as she tried more than once...

Toriyama did not write the RF manga. The manga is loose adaptation of the movie. Certain aspects of the movie are altered or changed for the sake of the narrative in the manga, which is only three 20-25 page chapters. Not everything that happens in the manga is gonna happen in the movie. Why can't people understand this?

Right? I guess it is the the glass half empty mentality some folks have about this movie.

It's not like Roshi and Ten knew Goten and Trunks were being left behind. It's not like Gohan and Bulma knew Roshi and Tenshinhan were coming. It's not like everyone got together and decided "okay Goten and Trunks need to stay, but we're bringing Roshi!"

I don't see the problem, if Trunks and Goten showed up, you know that with Gotenks' arrogance, he'd go for Freeza - which given his apparent new heights of power, would put Gotenks in real danger. Roshi and Tenshinhan would never attempt to attack Freeza, they're clearly only there to deal with the rabble.

I mean, as far as excuses to write the kids out, I don't think it's too hard to stomach. In a serious situation, Gotenks' reckless personality is a liability. Against Buu, it was simply the case that he was the last hope - there wasn't anybody else.

Who said they have to fuse? So because Gotenks is recklessly...he shouldn't defend the Earth from millions of evil people. A SSJ3 Gotenks...just waiting for what?

I'm not buying this lame ass excuse(Manga. Not your post which was very good) sorry. Earth is in danger and you let your strongest warrior set out. Even Chi Chi let Gohan fight the Cyborgs.

Really makes it sound like you're upset that weaker people are here while stronger people aren't, as if it was decided as a group to bring weaker people instead of stronger people.

And people are really jumping the gun on "so now they can't sense ki?" thing. The film doesn't indicate that they cannot sense ki, at least not as far as we know. All I'm seeing is people jumping to conclusions they don't like and proceeding to bash the film, as if it were the one making said conclusions. You can say "but I want to like the film" all you want, but the fact of the matter is that you're jumping to conclusions that you don't like rather than ones that you do like. It just comes off as intentionally interpreting everything in a way that results in disliking things.

About Trunks/Goten, who is to say they won't join the fight later when they sense Gohan and the rest being knocked out? Maybe they'll get killed? Maybe that is why they aren't promoting the characters: because Trunks and Goten don't get to fight before they get killed off?

I for one am looking forward to Bulma's role in thjs film (though I am not too confident they will give her much, looking at Videl's role in BoG). She will definitely serve as a connection to Jaco.

I praised the use of weaker characters. So no. I'm bashingbashing the character's intelligence by having a SSJ3 on the sidelines while Roshi is fighting. You'll think Bulma would have the kids support this invasion. Millions of solders. Millions . As if I care about power levels .

So the thing training Goku&Vegeta doesn't have a name but instead he's a life form called Whis ? Does this mean there are more of him ?

In terms of Vegeta,when he would fight it turns out he was never in full power due to him over straining his mind and in terms of Goku it looks like the reason he'll lose against Freeza isn't because he's weaker then him but because he gets over Overconfident.

And if Vegeta wins I think it'll be because he listens to Whis and lets his body do the fighting rather then his mind.

Likewise the response from some is to shut up and stop asking questions. We'll let a 7 and 8 year old fight, but not a more mature 12 and 13 year old respectively. They hype everyone will turn up in full force, but really it's just who they feel like, whether it makes sense or not. I swear most of these things they want could work if they tried thinking a little harder. That or we have to admit the hype releases are really shitty at getting their points across.

Shame the translation is so shoddy. They've changed every -san to 'Mr'. which makes for quite a funny read! Lots of stiff, ambiguous lines, too. It's probably best to wait for Kanzenshuu's summary before trying to discern anything concrete from this.

I'm a little disappointed that Trunks and Goten probably won't a big part of the cast, but GOD, some of these people, fussing over these things like it's going to cause them permanent physical or psychological damage. I mean... I'm a big fan of Trunks. He is my second favorite character, but am I going to whine around and cry like a big baby just because he isn't in the movie? No.
