Sorry if it's already been posted.

So with this I'll give my thoughts on these translations.

-I like Goku and Vegeta's training
-Didn't Mr. Popo already teach Goku something about not thinking while fighting as it slows you down? Empty mind, move faster than lightning?
-Whis saying Goku's training is in the opposite of Vegeta's and not that ideal either seems odd. Goku giving his body more rest has shown it's way better than Vegeta's keep on pushing to the limits. I guess he could relax a little less maybe?
-Beerus isn't perfect and hasn't learned the lesson Whis is teaching. I like that.
-I like how Beerus apparently nearly killed them.
-For power level enthusiasts...Beerus seems to be a confirmed Sun Buster.
-Whis is a time lord...kinda...awesome.
-Goten and Trunks not being told nor sensing the danger is bullshit. 7&8 year old fighting Boo...hell yeah. 12&13 year old...too irresponsible for this. It's more important they help so they can save more lives...but nah we got this yo!
-Boo slept for 5 seconds in the manga...but I suppose he only did that as he wasn't really tired. Did he really say he only needs 5 seconds of sleep?
-Gohan mentions Super Saiyan even though that's stupid when his Ultimate State is far superior....the Ki Vampire pure bloods have stricken their victim, no wonder Boo fell asleep.
-In the movie screens it seems Goku and Vegeta were with the gang, but here it seems everyone met Freeza before Goku and Vegeta show up.
-Spaceship is probably Jaco.

Anyway, while I am sad that Goten and Trunks (might) not appear, it's that big of a deal. I was under the impression most people here dislike Goten/Trunks anyway, so if that's true why are you people bitching?

You're bashing a character's intelligence on the presupposition that everyone got together and jointly decided to leave Goten and Trunks out and take Roshi instead. There's no reason to assume that this is what happened. The scan kei17 posted and the wall of text Chuquita quoted indicate that Kame Sennin showing up was done independent of the fact that Bulma kept Goten and Trunks ignorant.

You're jumping to the conclusion that Goten and Trunks can't sense ki anymore:

They hype everyone will turn up in full force, but really it's just who they feel like, whether it makes sense or not. I swear most of these things they want could work if they tried thinking a little harder. That or we have to admit the hype releases are really shitty at getting their points across.

I think you're reading too far into these. You're assuming there is a point that they're trying to get across other than "holy shit guys this is gonna be awesome". The fact that statements from these blogs do not appear to line up with in-universe facts would support the notion that they're literally just there to build hype. Though I agree with you, it'd be nice to have hype that wasn't contradictory to what we see in the movie. But treating hype as if it is part of the film itself in a bid to make the film look like it contradicts itself is silly.

We'll let a 7 and 8 year old fight, but not a more mature 12 and 13 year old respectively.

1. The circumstances are different. Goten and Trunks are not literally the last line of defense right now as they were in the Buu arc. Another thing characteristic of the problems people have with Dragon Ball material (new or old) is the apparent inability or unwillingness to look at two different situations with different contexts and acknowledge the difference in context.

2. The assumption is that they are indeed more mature. You're making an assumption and then treating it as fact in order to support a complaint.

I'm glad that Toriyama chose Tien as one of the five Z Fighters to battle the soldiers. You'd think he would have a been a very unlikely choice but his character is a badass and I'd much rather they have him involved that the bratty kids again.

They seem to. Gohan even seems to say the same line that he thinks he can go Super Saiyan.

Um they weren't the last line of defense even there. Goku himself could have taken out Boo at any time. He literally chose them to do it when he could have done it. Also who the fuck cares about maturity? People could die if they don't stop the soldiers, so the more help they can get the better. Especially since apparently it's possible they could get overwhelmed somehow by numbers, they need the help. Roshi apparently even complains that only 5 of them isn't good.

Of course they are more mature. Freaking Goku became more mature as he grew up. It's doubtful Goten and Trunks haven't matured at all. I can see Gotenks maybe be a problem, but Goten and Trunks alone are valuable assets.

I never said that.. It was a sarcastic remark. As if Gohan wasn't going to tell them Freeza is there. The two can easily sense him. It's similar to when someone say I need a ride to school and someone response is "You don't have legs". Thought it was obvious.

No I'm not. I'm bashing Bulma choice of leaving Goten and Trunks behind. Has NOTHING to do with Ten and Roshi being day. I explained this. Earth is in danger and you leave two strong people at home? It's stupid on Bulma part. NOTHING to do with Roshi. I said it's stupid that IF(notice IF) Roshi is fighting that it's dumb of Gotenks and Bulma to not allow Gotenks to fight.

Wiss knowing how to time travel is the best thing in this movie. I like his character, by the way. So I'm exciting about him, I really hope he turns out to be the "Mira/Towa" of Toriyama.

Writers decide how they want character to act, and what to say. Need I remind you Vegeta being a baby pussy around Broly when that's abysmal? That's the power of writers. A character can become better or worse depending on what they want. Gohan could have been writen to train more. Gohan could have been written to become a wrestler. Goku could be written to get a sudden lust for Chi Chi. Goku could be written to be a little more dickish. All depends on who's writting. We're not watching real people here, but fictional characters who can be tailored however a writer wants.

So assuming the 'Whis can time travel' thing is accurate (with respect to the translators, they do have a tendency to be off on the odd thing every once in a while), I'm guessing this is foreshadowing the fact that Earth gets destroyed during the fight but Whis is able to have this all undone.

Funny, I was thinking about this exact situation this morning. I was leaning more towards Kaio or Kaioshin and Whis being able to rebuild worlds however, as mentioned in Battle of Gods. While it was never outright stated that Whis could do this, I believe it was mentioned in promotional material at one point.

Hm sounds like that could come into play...though that'd undermine things if the heroes fail and he just turns back time. Or maybe my Time Patroller comes in and saves the day. All the characters love and worhship him as he pounds Golden Freeza. Then all the ladies fall for him. Anyone remember Bryan? Brilliant work of art.
