Gramatically, there's nothing wrong with Dragon Ball Z.

That's his point. There's nothing grammatically inappropriate about Dragon Ball Z, just like there's nothing grammatically inappropriate about Resurrection F.

I hope this one comes to more theatres in the UK...
I will remain forever optimistic. But I doubt there will be any screenings in London, any time soon.

Yeah, after the BoG fiasco I wouldn't hold my breath too.

Us having to double dip if we should later get an extended version is what I'm worried about with us getting the movie earlier too. I mean, I'll totally do it cuz I'm a sucker, but I'll still be slightly miffed to have to do so, presumably not super long after the fact.

Though I guess it's worth mentioning that there's not really any confirmation that there even will be an extended version, I guess. I'm betting there will be as well, but it doesn't happen with every anime movie that ends up airing on Japanese TV does it?

"Resurrection [F]" makes me think "resurrection fail" which is so perfect considering how Toyotarō depicted Freeza being resurrected by Shenlong

Though I appreciate Linda Young's previous contributions, I can't imagine her returning to play Freeza for any reason. At this point, Ayers is the official voice for the character and has been the most faithful sounding thus far. On top of that, if Young was fired for essentially not being able to keep up with the better translated dialogue back in 2010, wouldn't the same be true now?

But my point is that, gramatically, Resurrection F (with the absence of a preposition) doesn't make sense. We're not talking about a type of ressurection, but F's ressurection.

The original Japanese title is vague and awkward in that area as well, though. That's why I think "Resurrection 'F'" works. It captures the original title as well as can be expected.

The people discussing it obviously give a shit. Even if you don't, there's no reason to dismiss their posts, especially if you can't add anything more constructive in the process.

I agree plus I think it makes its own joke, "Resurrection [F]" makes me think "resurrection fail" which is perfect considering how Toyotarō depicted Freeza being resurrected in pieces...which ostensibly is what will happen in the movie.

Plus there may be more to the "[F]" than just meaning "Freeza" from the the song [F] which the movie makes clear.

As I've mentioned before, I'd love to see both options be avaliable. At least for home releases. The dialogue thing I can understand for KAI. Though one movie is a lot less work than speaking for 10+ episodes.

I doubt the cost of recording two different voices is worth it.

That would definitely be a nice gesture on Funimation's part, though as ABED has pointed out, it seems unlikely that they'd put in the extra time and money for a home video release.

I know that now, but back in 2013, I thought that. Resurrection F though, something seems off about it.

Ohp, just noticed the "used to". My mistake!

I really hope Funimation has a showing near me. Seriously, a theater in my area showed the Madoka movie trilogy a few years back and the theater was packed, so I don't see why a showing of a Dragon Ball Z movie wouldn't quickly sell out in my town.

Maybe there will a bonus feature on the home release where we can hear the other voice actor on another audio track.
