Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

So you must be happy that Krillin is getting in on the action then, right?RandomGuy96 wrote:I like the earlier versions of Vegeta, Imperfect Cell, Mr. Satan, Fat Buu, Super Buu, Elder Kaioshin, Yajirobe, Gotenks (somewhat), Krillin, and a few others.ParkerAL wrote:Not to derail the thread, but are there any characters in the series that you actually like, RandomGuy?RandomGuy96 wrote:Nope, it has to do with the excuses being brought up to explain their absence. I'd have this but I imagine that by the time I get there it won't be available anymore if it's only for a limited offer. There’s Combo A (bacon-and-eggs burger, medium fries, boneless chicken, and drink) and Combo B (chicken sandwich, medium fries, boneless chicken, and drink), each just 900 yen!

Super Saiyan God will be downgraded to a mere image.
And what its image suppose? Is Kakarot fighting in that form just like Dragon Ball Heroes stated he has?

Not necessarily, he could still bust it out in the bigger battles. Recognizing it's still inside there makes me hope the form itself is still in play.
On hiatus.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Personally I'd be very surprised if neither Goku or Vegeta busted out the form at the end of the movie to fight Frieza, especially Vegeta.
If Golden Frieza is strong enough to beat Goku down as he is normally, then you'd think that there would be a transformation in there somewhere so that they could win in the end.
Plus it's a new form so I can't see it not being used in the very next movie.

Anyone else notice this similarity?

Toriyama said that SSJGOD was for one time only, but it's possible for others to turn SSJGOD.Chuquita wrote:Not necessarily, he could still bust it out in the bigger battles. Recognizing it's still inside there makes me hope the form itself is still in play.

Dragon Ball was originally planned to end after chapter 23 but due to plans changing look where we are now.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Agreed, plans can definitely change.
I'm gonna keep holding out hope for ssjg Gokû.

It's all about context. :3

I get the impression from that, that Goku was able to channel the SSJ God power he absorbed for a moment. I don't think they would HINT at that in the movie if he wasn't still capable of doing it. It would be a pay off moment later in the movie if he was able to transform back into SSJ God.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:
Oh Chuquitaaaaaa....
At the same time... if they do that I'd be kind of sad since that will either retcon end of Z if he is suddenly able to control it whenever he wants making it a new transformation or it'll just be him using the form against Freeza and winning which is probably the most predictable ending.
Even though everyone keeps saying Vegeta might defeat Freeza, him becoming a SSJ God might surprise me the most.
Can the SSJ God form be achieved more then once per person if the ritual is repeated? Is this ever mentioned anywhere?
Then again it may just be the equivalent of this:

Am I happy that he's being demoted to having trouble with Raditz-tier henchmen in a pointless battle at the cost of Satan, Elder Kaioshin, Gotenks, and Mr. Buu apparently being left out? No.Lord Beerus wrote: So you must be happy that Krillin is getting in on the action then, right?
It wasn't anywhere near as prominent with Elder Kaioshin, and he never actually sexually assaulted anybody IIRC. Plus, he was probably kidding about his perversion to begin with, given that he never gets what he asked for and himself grew on a tree.Doctor. wrote:RandomGuy96 wrote:or a creepy and unfunny rape joke (for kids!) like RoshiWait, what? Another reason I'm feeling good about that ssjg flash of Gokû; he looks like he's wearing the same gi from F in both images. At least it looks like the same gi to me.

Why bring back Freeza if they're going to do the same thing they did on Namek ?bleed0range wrote:Even though everyone keeps saying Vegeta might defeat Freeza, him becoming a SSJ God might surprise me the most.
The movie will be great regardless of who beats him but if it's Goku then they should have went with another villain.

Your right, plans do change, but I think it's a different story with SSJGOD Goku because he wanted to show a new level without changing much, but hey you never know with Mr. Toriyamasintzu wrote:Plans can change.shinmaru wrote:Toriyama said that SSJGOD was for one time only, but it's possible for others to turn SSJGOD.
