Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

He lost to Raditz and Vegeta.
He lost to Captain Ginyu.
He lost to #19 and Cell.
He couldn't fight Super Buu and lost to Kid Buu.
He lost to Beerus twice.

I was under the impression that only final battles against primary villains were being considered, because otherwise there are numerous instances of other characters being "the hero."

Vegeta has only ever had one victory over a major antagonist and that was Android 19, but even 19 isn't considered a villain on the level of ones like Freeza, Cell, and Buu in terms of significance. Goku has beaten 2 of them (Freeza and Buu) while Gohan dealt with the other (Cell). Vegeta has yet to have his day in terms of taking down a villain with such significance. Sure he's had wins, but most of them (bar 19 who I mentioned earlier) have come against fodder. Pui Pui, Nappa, Guldo, Cui, Ginyu, etc. He's never gotten that big bad to defeat. Goku's had it twice and Gohan has had it once. Vegeta deserves at least one and I'm hoping that comes with this movie.

With all the hints we've gotten I'll be very surprised if he doesn't beat Freeza.

If he doesn't get his big victory in this movie then he never will.

You guys seem to be forgetting the story didn't start with Raditz. Gokuu also defeated the Red Ribbon Army and both Piccolos.

Nice picture man! I've been wanting to check out a picture of Freeza and Golden Freeza side by side. (I was just too lazy to Google search it...) Now that I have seen I side by side image, I don't know why people have been complaining that Golden Freeza is just a recolor of Freeza. I mean there's a decent amount of changes despite the fact that they are a tad subtle which I actually kind of prefer.

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but it's pretty pointless to compare the author's color page from the manga to a bunch of random images that were put together by a fan that were never really meant to go together in that style to begin with.

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but it's pretty pointless to compare the author's color page from the manga to a bunch of random images that were put together by a fan that were never really meant to go together in that style to begin with.

I mean one's a professional submission for an ongoing series, the other is a series of quick sketches. An artist's quick sketch work being a bit more rough is normal.

After hearing akira wants to give vegeta a shot at he leading role and seeing frieza is the main vilian felt from the start it would be vegetas time to shine. For it would be somewhat tedious (from a unbiased or writers perspective) to have goku some how defeat frieza again.

However, i'm not too sure how this will play out, from trailers i've watch it seems like a very confusing interaction between vegeta and frieza (and goku). What makes it very confusing is the proposal frieza gives vegeta, does he take it or no? then theres a pic of frieza holding vegeta by the neck with his tail, at first glance it appears to be just a memory of the scene on namek but when taking a good you'l notice vegeta has the wiss symbol on his armor, maybe a mistake? or does frieza torment vegeta before offering him an alliance?

And where is he the entire fight (if the pic turns out to not be an actual scene from the movie or just a mistake). Does he join frieza then watch the fight between him and goku before switching side? or did goku and vegeta do rock paper scissors again?

Also the look vegeta gives goku is a bit disturbing (the scene where gokus on the ground), dont knôw what to make of it really...is it pity? or did frieza order him to finish him off and hes deciding whether he should or not?

I'd say the manga so far would constitute about 10 minutes of footage were it animated. Plus interviews with voice actors have implied a bit happens between Freeza's revival and his actual return, unless they show these things via flashback for some reason.

So I'm guessing by quite a bit.
