Gotenks and Gohan versus Kid Buu

Kid Buu's only chance is if he manages to absorb them or turn them to candy. Otherwise, he's dead.

I think Pure Boo w/Gotenks absorbed would still lose to Gohan, actually. He'd probably end up somewhat stronger but Gohan was almost able to survive 30 minutes against Gotenks-Boo who was much stronger than him.

Stalling out Boo shouldn't be too hard.

I said Gohan only loses cause he's not Goku. Logically Gohan would still crush Kid Boo with Gotenks absorbed. It's basically a SSJ3 Goku tier character + a Super Boo tier character. Bootenks was 2 Super Boo tier characters added together. So Gohan should have no problem when Kid Boo is the base. However since smart characters aren't really written as smart or someone who learns...then Gohan would be written to lose.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I guess after reading this, it makes sense. I got no manga proof to argue it. lol.

Well, at least SSJ3 Goku is still stronger in the Toei movies! Hmph!

Agreed. Goku is more than happy to fight Kid Buu from the off, whereas he instantly knows that only fusion (via the dance or potara) with another saiyan would be enough to take on full powered Buu.

So why didn't they just get dead Gohan to help out on the Planet of the Kai's?

Because that would have been counterproductive to making Goku the main character again.

In universe, Vegeta says himself that it's Earth's turn to save itself.

Yeah, Super Buu could be anywhere from 8x to 1000x+ greater than Goku, sadly. I wish Goku was relevant in the Buu saga :|
