"Random Number Generator." It's basically a system used by games to leave things up to chance.KAiWAi wrote:Sorry guys but what is RNG ?
Speaking off RNG... remove the RNG. Or at least scale it waaaaaay back. I'm OK with item drop RNG (at least if they'd up the drop rate for certain items), but when it comes to mission requirements, RNG should be a non-factor.

Dimps used RNG before in Budokai, but man, it's damn crazy in Xenoverse.

What are the secret requirements to PQ 28? I got all seven Dragon Balls, yet that apparently wasn't it...
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
Oh hey another problem I just thought of: stat cap. Seriously, what's the point of inputting so many costumes for our characters to use if we're only going to use the ones with the best stat boosts because Dimps can't keep their word and NOT set a cap for stats like they said they would. Again, a waste. So yeah, cap stats and let us dress up our character however the hell we want.
First, wrong place for that question. Second, Google is calling your name.Saiga wrote:What are the secret requirements to PQ 28? I got all seven Dragon Balls, yet that apparently wasn't it...

-The Stat cap definitely. We'll all be rocking 4 Star TP costume and GT Goku dogi in no time soon.
-Random Ultimate Finishes. I had to do Saiyan Revolt probably 23 times and I only got Vegito to spawn 3 times. When I did the quest when you have to kill Kuririn to get Goku to transform he never did it!
-Ally A.I. I've been trying to get 100x Big Bang Kamehameha for about 2 days now; my allies are so fucking stupid and by the time I get to Bardock they're halfway dead. They never use ultimates or transform. Goku and Gohan completely rekts me when they immediately start spamming Super Kamehameha and it only hits me.
-The stupid ass placement of time portals and the lock on system when trying to beat a super fucking PQ under 5-10 mins especially on that Freeza stage, also it seems like the CPU after being hit just freefalls all the way to the bottom of the stage just to fucking make you waste time!!
-That goddamn Tag with Gotenks mission needs to cease to exist! Plus he has way too much fucking health!
-RNG for clothing needs to be a little bit easier to acquire.
-240 attribute points aren't nearly enough!

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
I don't really go for PvP but the Super Saiyan transformation enabling super spamming is pretty dumb.'
Also Saiyans get like 4 transformation options over every other race. I guess it is true to the franchise but I would have preferred a bit more balance. They easily could have copied stuff from Online or Heroes there or just made up something. Namekian Fusion? Pure Boo? Shiyoken? Generic Potential Unlock?
I was looking at some Z-Souls and some of them seem a bit counterproductive. The Master Goku one powers up Goku-related moves but the Z-Soul itself slightly weakens Ki-based Supers.
And I guess I agree with what others have said about clothes(maybe if there could have been an upgrade system), the RNG, and the AI.

I can do an infinite with my Male Saiyan if I do a few basic attacks, then a heavy attack, and then my guy will hit him into the air and follow up with more attacks, and I can just keep doing that. Unless they have an evasive skill that can hit me away, I never see anyone get out of it.

Every Race has an infinite of their own, besides, it would only work on PvE anyway.ShadowDude112 wrote:I can do an infinite with my Male Saiyan if I do a few basic attacks, then a heavy attack, and then my guy will hit him into the air and follow up with more attacks, and I can just keep doing that. They need to fix the Bardock mission and not make the AI so stupid. Or at least have items that can heal the CPU.

They do have items that heal CPU, but only CPU that you personally pick I believe.ShadowDude112 wrote:They need to fix the Bardock mission and not make the AI so stupid. Or at least have items that can heal the CPU.

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
I really don't get why people complain about missions like this. It's a simple problem to work with: use an AOE skill and fight the same mob your partner is fighting. Not only would your partner survive longer, but you would also attract other mobs to your location for your AOE skill.ShadowDude112 wrote:They need to fix the Bardock mission and not make the AI so stupid. Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
For what it's worth, it's not just that particular mission in Xenoverse for me - I pretty much loathe any and all 'keep this character alive' missions in all games, because that usually means they're going to have given that character some sort of death wish AI that means you're pretty much fighting them as well as whoever else you may be facing. It's just not a great playing experience.BlazingBarrrager wrote:I really don't get why people complain about missions like this. They need to fix the item generator for sure! I never get clothing items first try. NEVER.
I'm kind of annoyed for the start up menu too.. I hate that you have to go to Toki Toki city every damn time for everything.

What are the chances that XenoVerse will keep getting patches to fix broken gameplay mechanics after the third DLC comes out?

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
Yeah, I can do without the escort missions. Although most aren't as bad as people say (Bardock really does suck though), they still are pretty annoying.
I can't comprehend why DIMPS made healing items not work on these CPUs. It's really stupid.
Although area of effect attacks do work well, I don't like using them. Not to mention, the good AoE attacks refuse to drop most of the time!

I'd say slim to none. They probably aren't going to fix the major stuff (such as transformations) with patches. They might would fix these things in a sequel, but definitely not with patches.Tyro wrote:What are the chances that XenoVerse will keep getting patches to fix broken gameplay mechanics after the third DLC comes out?

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
Is anyone who has the disc version of the game on ps4 experiencing this issue? I bought the DLC and it says it is downloaded and installed but it really is not. I can not play it and I can't use any characters I didn't get the display message during the game that the DLC is installed I deleted the game the save data and still no working DLC can't even redownload it from the actual playstation store. Any ideas what I can do? I wrote this here since the title is "what needs to be fixed" and well this does need to be because I know I am not the only one who has had this issue and it would suck for the same to happen with future DLC.

So yeah...really needing those unoffical patches right about now, or someone who has ties to Dimps/Bandai who can get the developer's heads out of their asses.Super SaiyaJon wrote:I'd say slim to none. ...didn't Bandai say they were keeping a close eye on what fans were saying about the game?

Re: Xenoverse: What needs to be buffed/nerfed/fixed
They might be paying attention, but I wouldn't expect huge overhauls to anything till a sequel. The patches are probably being handled by just a small portion of the team, that way they aren't "wasting" resources. That was the same reasoning we were given before for why we didn't get DLC for previous games, because anything significant would be taken away from development time on the subsequent game.
