Yeah, I think the same. Just as Michael Bay expanded (in a good way) Transformers franchise and it became even more popular, certainly the same would happen with Dragon Ball. As for people's taste, well... It's only people's taste.

Meh. If Michael Bay made a DB movie, it would probably end up something like this:

-Similar casting to DB Evolution. Mismatched roles, stuff like that
-More energy attacks and explosions. I mean, it's Michael Bay we're talking about.
-Better writing than DB Evolution. It shouldn't be a hard thing to pull off.

In the end, just a bit better than Evolution.
But seriously "Michael Bay's Dragon Ball" will never happen.

Pretty much that. Like, if I were to review this non-existent movie, I would probably give it a 5.5/10. Thinking about it, The imaginary movie would probably be much better than Evolution, considering I'd probably give Evolution a 2/10.

Of course I can't have opinions for this movie because it doesn't exist. DAMMIT, I've convinced myself to want this movie.

The implication that beating bad guys is what matters to be an important character, or a good character for that matter. Also the only way to get respect is by beating bad guys.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I hate to disagree with you on there. I find the writing in Transformers 2 & 3 worst then Evoltuion. Evolution didn't have dog humping each other, had much screen time of Devastators balls and characters like Skids and Mudflap. Transformers 3 was exactly the same, sans Skids and Mudflap. Not to mention those two movies had major plot holes that where way worst then Evolution. I know people have their own opinions but I would take Evolution over any Transformers sequels. I never seen the 4th form but I hear it's no different from the last two movies.

You know about Alice in Wonderland right? Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland. There's many movies of Alice in Wonderland, I would imagine you seen the 1950's Disney film or the recent live action film from Tim Burton.

I'm too ignorant on that, never watched Alice nor care about it. :P I don't even know the names of who created Lion King, Brother Bear, Peter Pan, Tarzan and etcetera...
I just give credit to the whole crew/Disney rather than the real/single person who made all of them.

Unless when the case is Dragon Ball-like.

I was thinking mostly about the first Transformers. I haven't fully watched 2 and haven't seen 3 at all. I didn't even know there was a fourth one.

Perhaps, if his writing was greater or equal to Transformers 1, we'd receive an "OK" script. (And if he didn't write it PG13-like for no reason.)

Going "on-topic" a bit and kinda, I think it is strange to blame the director for screenwriters' problems/flaws.

We would get the same action scenes even if Transformers had the best screenwriter.

Lion King is basically Hamlet, So William Shakespeare

Brother Bear is an original
Tarzan is Edgar Rice Burroughs
Peter Pan is J.M. Barrie

This for me, unfortunately.

Not so much strange, since it's a matter of taste, but I've been confused by all the negativity surrounding the Namek saga recently. Maybe some of it is backlash because of the upcoming movie, but for as long as I could remember, most seemed to praise it as the apex of the series. I've seen a lot more appreciation for the Android/Cell and Buu arcs recently, which wasn't the case 10 or 15 years ago (maybe it's due to more continued exposure since the dubs of those arcs have been out so long, or maybe it's just selective memory from getting into the series during the original 53 episode Ocean run).

"why did Gohan become such a nerd by the end of Z?"
"Dragon Ball isn't worth watching, Z is where it stops being a kids show"
"The Japanese voice sounds nothing like what Goku is SUPPOSED to sound like" (I hate some of the more ignorant fans who think they know the character better than the woman whose voiced him since the very start...)
"Why does Gohan sound like a girl in Kai?"
"Linda Young was the best Frieza and the new movie will suck balls without her, Chris Ayers sounds too feminine"
"DBZ is not a show for kids" (most people who say this started watching the show when they were kids...)
"The Japanese music sounds like a 70s porno"
"TFS>Funi Dub>Kai>Original Japanese Version" (Disclaimer: I love DBZA)
"Kai is a Nicktoons show, stop trying to market DBZ to the kiddies, you're ruining my childhood" (also most of the posts that contain the words "ruining my childhood")
"Someone take DBZ away from Toriyama, that talentless hack is ruining the entire series!!!"
"Comedy has no place in DBZ" (sigh...)
