When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I'm talking about the saiyans. He doesn't give a shit about them. He only was mad he was used by Freeza. Even Goku himself states Vegeta isn't mad about his people dying, but because Freeza used him, and he had the pride of a saiyan. Later on he cares for Bulma and Trunks, but he has no care about his own species. You can view Vegeta's talk with Dodoria and Goku in full to get this.ekrolo2 wrote:Didn't he care though? People like to harp about avenging the Saiyans, but Vegeta himself couldn't care less about them. His rivalry with Freeza just like with Goku is so one sided. Freeza and Goku both do not care about Vegeta's issues with them. Goku is more than happy to have someone to fight with, not caring if Vegeta were stronger or not. Freeza himself does not give a shit about Vegeta and just wants Trunks and Goku.

Why is that wrong? Evil or not, Vegeta had a pretty shitty life, you can't deny that. Incorrect. Goku's had some pretty crappy stuff happen to him as well. It just doesn't seem as bad due to Goku's positive outlook on life; he's an eternal optimist.ZazamPow wrote: Why is that wrong? And Vegeta's life may not have been ideal to him, but I'd say that there are others that have had a life on the same level of crap. Far from "most tragic"

I just realized that Freeza doesn't know Vegeta is alive. He killed Vegeta on Namek and then was defeated by Goku. When he arrived on Earth before, he never saw Vegeta... Only Trunks... Was the scene where Vegeta zooms up to Goku and Freeza's battle on Namek filler? Right after reviving, he approaches them and attempts to throw a ki blast at Freeza, but gets teleported away by the wish. It it is, than you're right, Freeza doesn't know Vegeta is alive.

You would think Vegeta had a really tragic life that simply was not explored, but in Minus... he seems pretty alright as a child. Never really cared much about his people or planet, really. I mean, he had no problems disposing Nappa. His only tragedy seems to be his insecurity and power greed issues throughout the series. Whereas Frieza could rightfully say he's the most powerful being in the universe, Vegeta said the same so many times when he knew that was far from the case....>_>;;;
On a side note, let's talk about the poop Whis stepped on. There doesn't seem to be any animal life on that planet. Even if there's birds there, that stool did not have the density of bird feces. This brings me to one conclusion: Whis stepped on Beerus' ****.

And still I bet when Freeza and Vegeta meet each other, it will be a "generic" encounter, like "Hohoho, Vegeta-san, long time no see. I have been training for four months and now I surpass even your strongest form. What about you?". Don't think they will pay any attention to the fact Freeza doesn't know Vegeta is alive, but I truly hope I'm wrong.

I would say Vegeta has the most tragic life simply because he lost his entire planet, his entire race... Was forced into servitude (whether or not he was mistreated much, it's the concept of being forced into it that is horrible)... But through it all what's most tragic is that he is uncomfortable with who he is and can never open up or reveal his feelings to anyone and he bottles it up behind a tough and rough exterior. But the absolute most tragic thing is that after half his lifetime he finally understands or is understanding how to be a good person and be happy with a family, yet he is still doomed to go to Hell and never see them again when he dies for all the mass murdering he did in his younger years.ZazamPow wrote:Who's life was more tragic than Vegeta's? There will be no ultimate redemption for him in the end and he will forever be separated from all he now loves or cares for.
Even if he wins, he loses.

Goku told Freeza they revived everyone he killed with the dragon balls on earth, then with the namek balls wished them to earth. So he should know that would include Vegeta. If not his comment wouldn't really be that impressed. He'd be maybe a little surprised, but uncaring. Even during their fight he didn't seem to care that much about Vegeta. After namek he only cared about Goku. After dying he seemed to only care about Goku in all media. Here he seems to only care about Goku and Trunks.bleed0range wrote:I just realized that Freeza doesn't know Vegeta is alive. He killed Vegeta on Namek and then was defeated by Goku. Speaking of tradegy...Vegeta is the kind of guy who would have blew up his own planet if it meant he'd be granted immortality. He'd kill his father no problem too. Vegeta's only tragedy is being used...that's it. Future Trunks was someone who never had a good life until he finally fixed it. Vegeta always had a good life, but was just angry about being under someone's servitude. He was never mistreated really. Vegeta just believed he deserved more. Later on his tragedy was when he tried to do good, he was still going to hell. However I consider that justice as he rightfully deserves that, so I don't feel bad. Besides he was sacrificing himself for his family more than the earth and it's people.
