It has been awhile, I don't remember Goku telling Freeza he wished everybody back... But I DO remember that scene with Vegeta attempting to hit Freeza with a ki blast. I'm not sure if that's filler though either.dbzfan7 wrote:Goku told Freeza they revived everyone he killed with the dragon balls on earth, then with the namek balls wished them to earth. So he should know that would include Vegeta. If not his comment wouldn't really be that impressed. He'd be maybe a little surprised, but uncaring. Even during their fight he didn't seem to care that much about Vegeta. After namek he only cared about Goku. After dying he seemed to only care about Goku in all media. Here he seems to only care about Goku and Trunks.bleed0range wrote:I just realized that Freeza doesn't know Vegeta is alive. He killed Vegeta on Namek and then was defeated by Goku. When he arrived on Earth before, he never saw Vegeta... Only Trunks... The other guys were hiding and watching from afar. Should be fun to see his reaction to Vegeta being alive AND a good guy.dbzfan7 wrote:I'm talking about the saiyans. He doesn't give a shit about them. He only was mad he was used by Freeza. Even Goku himself states Vegeta isn't mad about his people dying, but because Freeza used him, and he had the pride of a saiyan. Later on he cares for Bulma and Trunks, but he has no care about his own species. You can view Vegeta's talk with Dodoria and Goku in full to get this.
People like to harp about avenging the Saiyans, but Vegeta himself couldn't care less about them. His rivalry with Freeza just like with Goku is so one sided. Freeza and Goku both do not care about Vegeta's issues with them. Goku is more than happy to have someone to fight with, not caring if Vegeta were stronger or not. Freeza himself does not give a shit about Vegeta and just wants Trunks and Goku.
Speaking of tradegy...Vegeta is the kind of guy who would have blew up his own planet if it meant he'd be granted immortality. He'd kill his father no problem too. Vegeta's only tragedy is being used...that's it. Future Trunks was someone who never had a good life until he finally fixed it. Vegeta always had a good life, but was just angry about being under someone's servitude. He was never mistreated really. Vegeta just believed he deserved more. Later on his tragedy was when he tried to do good, he was still going to hell. However I consider that justice as he rightfully deserves that, so I don't feel bad. Besides he was sacrificing himself for his family more than the earth and it's people.

You have Krillin having been abandoned as a child and raised in an abusive environment (physically, verbally, mentally, the works), you have, to an extent, Piccolo and having only known what hate feels like until someone finally called him "friend" instead of "monster", you have 17 and 18 having their lives, identities, and memories stolen from them in the name of some madman's revenge...ZazamPow wrote:Who's life was more tragic than Vegeta's? I'd say Future Trunks is really the only character comparable, I can't think of many other characters in Dragon Ball with tragic backstories.ShadowWolf87 wrote:Incorrect. Goku's had some pretty crappy stuff happen to him as well. It just doesn't seem as bad due to Goku's positive outlook on life; he's an eternal optimist.ZazamPow wrote: Why is that wrong? Evil or not, Vegeta had a pretty shitty life, you can't deny that. And nothing bad really does happen to Goku, he's always alright.
And Vegeta's life may not have been ideal to him, but I'd say that there are others that have had a life on the same level of crap. Far from "most tragic"
Saying that nothing bad ever happens to Goku is kind of an exaggeration, but I understand what he was getting at.
Vegeta may have lost his people, but it didn't much affect him. What affected him more was being the underling of someone else when he believed his birthright entitled to more. That's something a lot of people miss, I think.

A good voice for Jaco would Goku's 2nd Ocean dub voice. Or Maybe Kid Muscle from Kinnikuman Nisei's voice.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I hope they keep Jaco's voice actor form the vomic for the subs. I liked his voice there (and I do miss Free! Eternal Summer, so yes I'll take some Nagisa!Jaco in my Dragon Ball. :3 ).
On hiatus.

The most tragic character is Yamcha. Let's talk about this guy for a second. When we first meet him, he's a bandit--a petty criminal. Anybody ever question why that's the case? The dude is dirt poor, has no family, and his only friend is a talking cat. To top it all off, he suffers from a severe social phobia around women, so he has no love life either, and can't. Eventually, he finds friends and a gf he's not intimidated by. Life is finally swell. That is, until two aliens land on Earth and he's killed by a green plant alien thing. So Yamcha's dead now. But no worries, he's revived later. During this time, he lets his peaceful life go to his head, and begins eyeing other women, which leads to his gf dumping him for the very guy who killed him (indirectly, anyways), as well as someone he can't even confront because it'd be like a cat fighting a lion. Many years later, after several deaths and injuries, Yamcha is stated to be a bartender who has regressed and now exhibits his old social phobia around women. Unlike the others, he has no family, he has no love life, and he's the weakest male human out of his friends, so he can't even help out in fights. He smiles around his friends, but inside, he's crying out in pain.

I doubt we'll ever get to Vegeta's ultimate end in the Dragonball storyline, or ANY of the main character's ultimate end for that matter, but I seriously doubt that's the way Vegeta's story would end. You know how things go in otherworld, lol. Just like how Dabura was supposed to go to hell, but he got sent to heaven. And in GT (eh...) when Piccolo was supposed to go to heaven, and he got sent to hell. And since Goku had done so much good, he got special treatment in Otherworld. Vegeta has changed. I think things'll work out for him in the end.bleed0range wrote:There will be no ultimate redemption for him in the end and he will forever be separated from all he now loves or cares for.

And through all of this, Puar was the one person who remained loyal to him. THAT is the true friendship of Dragon Ball.fadeddreams5 wrote:The most tragic character is Yamcha. I'm a little hesitant to call him the most tragic character, but man. Yamcha of all the characters is probably the most "crapped on" at least. I wish things would turn around for him, I always liked Yamcha.fadeddreams5 wrote:The most tragic character is Yamcha. Let's talk about this guy for a second. Does anyone else notice in toriyama's Dragonball Movies they always uses the Dragon ball or summoned shenron, do they summoned shenron in the 13 movies? Can't remember.

They didn't summon Shenron in the movies: Sleeping Princess in the Devil Castle, Cooler's Revenge, Return of Cooler, Super Android 13, Broly 1, Bojack Unbound, Broly 2 (the dragon doesn't appear, though the DBs apparently grant Goten's wish), Bio-Broly.SonsOfUlron21 wrote:Does anyone else notice in toriyama's Dragonball Movies they always uses the Dragon ball or summoned shenron, do they summoned shenron in the 13 movies? I honestly just wonder how long will we continue to get these movies. Are we going to continue to get a movie every 2 years from now on? Is Toriyama working towards another conclusion or will they just keep going until either
A) They stop becoming profitable (which would be hard too imagine)
B) Toriyama loses interest in making them
C) Something unfortunately happens to Toriyama (though he's still quite young)
In the case of B or C would Toei continue where Toriyama left off or would they stop.
It'll be interesting to see how far this goes.

I would say it completely depends on how well Resurrection F does. If it goes over their expectations, expect another one. BoG was a special case because it was the first official animated DBZ movie in many years, and canon, to boot. I don't think they'd stop, even without Toriyama unless they stop meeting profit goals. I mean, BoG was going to be a Toei film in the first place, really.Bullza wrote:I honestly just wonder how long will we continue to get these movies. Seeing these Kirin Mets ads for Son Goku and Freeza, those drinks, from what I noticed, are healthy sodas created three years ago. Kirin also has the US ownership of Moxie through Coke's New England bottling operations owned by the same company.
No wonder if the Kirin Mets drinks should come to North America under the Crush label (owned by Cadbury). Would you guys buy a Freeza or a Goku themed drink? Those drinks taste like Coke Zero.

Good the half of his life ?????bleed0range wrote: I would say Vegeta has the most tragic life simply because he lost his entire planet, his entire race... Was forced into servitude (whether or not he was mistreated much, it's the concept of being forced into it that is horrible)... But through it all what's most tragic is that he is uncomfortable with who he is and can never open up or reveal his feelings to anyone and he bottles it up behind a tough and rough exterior. But the absolute most tragic thing is that after half his lifetime he finally understands or is understanding how to be a good person and be happy with a family, yet he is still doomed to go to Hell and never see them again when he dies for all the mass murdering he did in his younger years.
There will be no ultimate redemption for him in the end and he will forever be separated from all he now loves or cares for.
Even if he wins, he loses.
when Vegeta dies fighting boo he had been a bad boy up to a few hours before ....
vegeta good boy counter starts just there
until then it certainly was "not good" or " one bad boy asociated with good boys", his motivations are wrong, Babidi see it.
After, Sheron her back to life because he is no longer "evil"
After Boo's full arc, Freezer's resurrection and something else, Vegeta will can balance Vegeta his good / bad things
In the end, he won´t go to the hell
