Against Freeza on Namek but before that he got his body stolen by Ginyu,having every bone in his body crushed by vegeta and dying against Readitz which is what puts DB above other series for me cause when someone shines it matters unlike other anime where it's always happening.

And people think Gohan has been getting shafted. Has a main character of shonen manga character ever had such a below average record in one-on-one fights as Goku has?

Gon from HunetXHunter doesn't have any big wins on his list as of now so whenever he does it'll be a big deal but on the other hand winning big fights is an everyday thing for Naruto,Luffy and Natsu so it doesn't matter anymore when they win fights.

When it was Netero who ended up defeating Meruem I was very surprised cause from the beginning I thought Gon would do it cause I'm used to that being the case in the 3 anime I mentioned and another thing is Netero being strong wasn't just talk like it is in those series.

If Whis steppes in then it won't even be a fight cause he could kill him with his tongue so I doubt they'll do that and he was willing to let Beerus destroy earth and kill everyone so I don't think he'll care if Freeza does it.

I don't expect a dubbed trailer until a few weeks after the movie is released in Japan. But I could be wrong.

I do think one of the many reasons why Dragon Ball Z is so popular is because it doesn't just focus on the main character. Now, it seems that Vegeta may be the one to defeat Freeza, and finally get a win under his belt against a villain of note.
I do believe Goku is being prepped for a major win by Toriyama - possibly for the next couple of movies after F. I'm assuming he's already signed on with Toei for a series of movies, especially after so much happened in BoG - new universes being announced, Vegeta's character development, Goku's new SSJG transformation etc.

In regards to what Nozawa said about liking what Toriyama Sensei did with Goku in this movie, and that he "grew even more this time" I find it hard to believe he'll simply lose to Freeza, and Vegeta will step in and get the win, job done.
Goku will more than likely play a huge role in getting Freeza to the point of defeat, and Vegeta will be allowed to put the finishing blows in, but honestly, no one knows.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, and I'm sure it'll be action packed, and whatever happens in the end, will set things up for the next movie, which no doubt will see Goku get a major win.
