I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Just because he drew a cool art, it's not that he deserves something official. :|
I actually didn't think he traced. I must have been blinded by the overall final product or lack of noticeable repetitive imagery , but then again Toyble traced before he became Toyotaro. Redemption is possible for him if he utilizes his potential

Isn't tracing like a cardinal sin that can single-handedly ruin your career as far as artists in Japan go?

I still think the collage is really freakin great, but tracing ain't cool. :|

If YoungJiji is supposedly on his way to working officially for the franchise, he should be leaving the tracing behind him now and not working towards it while doing official things. Toyotaro has stepped away from tracing before he was brought in to work on Victory Mission. Some of his panels are still clearly meant to mimic original works, but they don't line up exactly.
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.

If YoungJiji is supposedly on his way to working officially for the franchise, what role do you think he will be given to work on?

If it's an official manga sequel to Dragon Ball, I'll flip out. I know that will most likely not be the case, but a man can dream. :)

Didn't Yamamuro trace some of the DB panels for the current ending of Kai?
Also, holy crap 900+ pages...

His fan manga is one of my favourites actually, very flawed, far from what Toriyama can do, but also very enjoyable. I'm sure that with his supervision and with the help of Naho and Toyotaro, the three can make something great.

I agree, he actually made Gohan a warrior that fights in honor of his heritage and family, he actually made interesting scenarios, and to top it all off Uub was a complete badass in his story with a unique transformation. Imagine if all 3 of their creative minds worked together to produce a spin off saga. Perhaps Goku Jr story, or an alternate timeline. Who knows, all I know is Dragon Ball is far from dead. putting non canon and canon inner conflicts for those particular readers aside.

Young Jiji's DB AF is pretty good it's just that the repetitive fights bring it down.

I wouldn't really call that the same thing, as those are all supposed to actually be those moments from the series.

A good artist wouldn't need to trace something to copy the pose. He may have just referenced the pose to do a close copy of it but with different clothing and what not.

Either way, tracing isn't professional and neither is knocking off some other drawing.

-About cast comments-
The “F” in the title stands for “Freeza”, for all you “Fans”, and also for Toshio “Furukawa” (laughs).

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro

Lol, I vaguely remembered that guy until I looked up his worked then it hit me. Yep, tracerific alrite, I was bored one day and tried to see if I could cross reference every piece and man it was incredible, I think nearly every single piece of drawing wasn't traced from the manga. What's worst he had the audacity to charge people for it. Please, get out of here with that nonsense. Sorry for the rant, but those kinds of shenanigans just really rub me the wrong way.

I know it won't happen, but I'd love for Kageyama to come back and do a song for this movie.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I so want that to happen too. But the guy has obviously become too expensive to hire now for Toei, apparently. :|

I hope we get one more trailer before the movie comes out.

It's really strange though it's only been in the last month that promotion for F has really taken off.

All I hope now is to get my dubbed version of the latest trailer. Just when!? When they intend to launch it? :|

I doubt we'll get another trailer at this point, compared to Battle of Gods.

Also, yeah, promotion usually really grows and grows the closer you get to the release. You usually advertise the idea several months before hand, then start a slow burn that you hope snowballs.

Likely when they have enough material to show. I'd suspect March or May at the earliest. Wouldn't expect the movie until August, though maybe July.

But it was already confirmed the movie will premiere here on June. I hope to get a trailer next month.

(Hello again, "Next month" ).

It's largely a rehash, but there a few tidbits that haven't been revealed before.

Feels a bit like we're in for a repeat of the "umpteen Nozawa/Nakagawa/Matsumoto interviews where they all say the exact same thing slightly differently" act.
