Though she does also play his evolutions, which includes Dukemon, who's not played youthful at all. Her portrayal of every member of the evolutionary line highlights what a diverse seiyū she is, to my mind.

Does her brief stint as Doraemon constitute a child, I wonder? Youthful in spirit, certainly, but otherwise...
Interesting, any have a video showcasing her voices for the digimon and it's digievolutions?. Also, I'd like to know if she has voiced a normal young woman, because i've only heard her Goku voice, i'd like to know how versatile she is, can she voice a young woman and sounds the part?.
So to satisfy your request showcasing Guilmon's different evolutions, Here ya go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xarks-4qlDg

Her as Growlmon was one of the few times I've seen Nozawa have to grow into a role cause her first voice for Growlmon is actually very different from by the time we get MegaloGrowlmon. Also it should be of note that Nozawa has been Dukemon since the start! Even in works today she is called in to play the gallant knight! (See what I did there? Eh? Eh? :) ) But because the video doesn't give a good showing for Dukemon's voice have this other vid, it's got a little more dialogue out of him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkenksI ... page#t=133
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

Thanks for that!. I can definitely see her range in those videos, this will do until I find out how Nowaza voices young girls! (There should be atleast one show she should have voice one).

PS: The voice she uses for that Digimon is cute as f*ck xD

She voiced a boy who shares a very close resemblance to our favorite Son Goku =D His name is Kintarou, he is from the anime Urusei Yatsura, based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi with the same name.

He almost got Videl killed in Battle of Gods tho.

She voiced Orara in the last season of the original Sgt.Frog/Keroro Gunsou anime. He was basically Goku in every way aside from physical appearance though.

This is a very minor role (no spoken lines) but she voiced the old woman in Zelda Skyward Sword (I'm not gonna spoil who REALLY she is for those who haven't played):

And in the Japanese dub of Temple of Doom she plays Short Round

Ironically enough, a lot of times American movies will (or did, unsure if the practice still exists) have multiple dubs in Japan (seems like it's often for a theatrical version and then for a TV version), and in one of the other dubs for ToD, Mayumi Tanaka was Short Round. :P

Hmm...actually, how old was she when she first started doing voice-over? And has she ever done any live-action work?
I think the English Wikipedia article has all of her roles listed on the Japanese counterpart, listed by year. Nozawa made her film debut at the age of three. She made her television voice over debut in Ookami Shounen Ken and Tetsuwan Atom in 1963. She played a woman in the latter (有尾人の女王の子供、国際電話局ロボット). In Oz no Mahou-tsukai she voices Princess Ozma. In Ai Shoujo Pollyanna Monogatari she voiced Polly.
At the age of three? That's quite the youthful ol' lady!

Sorry! I had a more respectful thing to say but It just occured to me and I could NOT resist!

But I truly find this remarkable. I always found the fact of people beginning their career in acting at such young an age marvelous. Ms Nozawa sure is one of a kind!

I heard that the Dragon Ball AF fraud used a voice clip of Ms Nozawa saying "WHO YOU ARE YOU CALLING AN OLD WOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN". If its true, I'd die of JOY.

Knew the goggles kids were voiced by women in Japan, but wow Japanese Takato has a high voice. As for Ms. Nozawa's Guilmon, it's fine, though likely due to being so used to Steve Blum's Guilmon, it sounds a little odd to me at least.

Chiaki J Konaka, head writer of Digimon Tamers had a lot of trouble finding a suitable voice for Takato. He wanted an extremely realistic and childlike voice. I know Latin America and the USA casted an adul male for him. While I loved the Latin American dub of the show, I definitely see what Konaka wanted when he casted Makoto Tsumura in that role. She definitely gives off a childlike feel to her performance.

Always wondered if that was intentional or just a funny coincidence...
Same here: can't say that was one of the better voices in the 4Kids dub, though, but speaking of Schemmel voicing a Nozawa role like that does remind me of how much better 4Kids handled the Pokemon dub than TPCi has during their tenure (especially in the recent XY Series).

His US voice actor was Brian Beacock, I think: for what it's worth, I thought he did a good job, actually- we had Steve Blum as Guilmon, so that helped as well. It's not the best voice actor or actress the dubbers could've chosen, but we have much worse performances here in the States for children (e.g. Sarah Natochenny's Ash Ketchum/Satoshi, Robert Tinker's Gingka Hagane   ).
