Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Wishful thinking, but I would love if Frieza was sent to another universe and became the main apprentice of one of the Gods of Destruction. It would be an interesting dynamic to have a guy like him be an apprentice. Or he could just overtake one of them eventually, would be cool too.

I don't get why people keep saying this. Kaioken bloats the user's muscles and gives him a red aura. SSJ God makes Goku the slimmest he's ever been and gives him red hair. There's absolutely no comparison in the designs.

Because "Saiyan God" is occupied by whichever Saiyan is the god (as in, the Kami/Dende analog) of Planet Vegeta.

I think it is lame to Toriyama. He made it go away after it's first appearance. Lol. It was meant to look basic since it wasn't going to last for very long.

And yes, I'm willing to bet SSJG does not return in this movie besides that one image vs Whis.

That would be cool and different. I really wouldn't mind Frieza getting sent off like that. Better than him living in the same universe and getting another battle in another movie.

I just don't see our heroes completely killing every single one of Frieza's army.. Maybe time travel will be involved? Maybe they'll end up going to the past so they can stop Frieza's revival somehow. Just another theory.

I believe the Daizenshu stated that the planet has no god, and that the Saiyans kind of worshiped the idea of a Super Saiyan as their deity. So...complicated. lol

Good for him but when you give your character such a flashy overrated name like super saiyan god and look at the physical aspect of it, it makes no sense.

And remember Goku is martial artist not a god. God is originally a source who is almighty and powerful and has omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence and this god term has been heavily abused in fiction work to depict something that looks nothing what a god should stand out like. Meanwhile Toriyama has been reading too much fanfiction and misinforming himself and his fans by depicting a god as some low saiyan class warrior with red hair and red eyes and a purple ugly cat who's nobody ever heard before up until battle of gods.

I would perfectly be fine if goku just continued going on a pattern of super saiyan 4,5,6 etc or he could just unlock his mystic form and just combine all his transformations into his base form. But making Goku a super saiyan god and giving him godly ki is just a NO NO in how i originally though DBZ was going to go.

Capital G God is omnipotent, yes; gods in general are just extremely powerful, and that is just most of them; many classical gods, such as nymphs and lesser Roman gods, were not so powerful, even to human. Among the groups with Omnipotent beings, I know of Christianity, which is my religion, and the other Abrahamic religions, most majorly Islam and Christianity.

Dragon Ball has had Gods for a long time and none of them were omnipotent. I don't see what the problem was with Super Saiyan God being underwhelming for its title.

I do like the Gods presented in Dragon Ball. Altough, I was afraid for a long time, that it will sway down to the Saint Seiya lore,
but I think that what they did in BOG, they did with grace.

I just now thought about this, but with the possibility of new transformations for Goku and Vegeta, I wonder how long till we get some sort of visual? Last time with Battle of Gods and Super Saiyan God, Kei got into the screening and it didn't take too long until he got home and whipped up a sketch of Super Saiyan God for us. Presumably, we won't have that this time around...unless Julian can draw? xD

Perhaps we'll get sketches from other fan lucky enough to get into the preview screenings, and just have to do more work to search for them?

Hm, it was revealed in March 2013's VJump. The screening was on the 12th and the scans popped up on the 16th.
But the next VJump doesn't come out for weeks, so....maybe a Weekly Jump reveal?

There's no martial arts in DBZ. That was left behind in DB.
Goku is still kinda the same person though. The guy that enjoys a good challenge and overcome his limits.

If you want to call him something, God is the best word now.

I like the unpredictable Toriyama. So throwing out the window the obvious pattern super saiyan 4,5,6 is a YES YES from me.

I completely agree. Battle of Gods' lore changes and new ideas were very clever in execution. Also, all I remember about Saint Seiya is that they had over 130 songs in their OST yet the art was garbage. That was bananas.

Their strongest character is Hades who is night omnipotent at best.

And you have to understand that DBZ has more interesting hierarchy of gods system because it isnt based on any real world mythologies. the whole idea of Planet guardians to Galaxy guardians like King Kai is an interesting concept to have.
Then we also have supreme Kai beings who are in charge of both living and dead world. And whats even more interesting is that all of them have certain life spans in where the Kai's and Kaioshins change as they grow older like humans.

As we all know, fighting is religion in DB. Therefore, if Son Goku is the strongest Saiyajin, he is god.
