Hey guys. Forgive me if this picture has already been posted and discredited. I try to keep up, but sometimes this thread goes too far on a tangent and I just can't be bothered to read it all.

This image was just posted to Reddit. Anyone know the source, or if they're just old figures that have been given a misleading paint job? The purple haired Broli is a dead giveaway that this isn't official, but I wanted to cover all my bases nonetheless.

What has low expectations got to do with a dragon ball movie? Especially one you have yet to have seen? You were the one being preachy about low expectations and I remain unapologetic to how I replied to that, if you have low expectations of things in general that's fine but don't argue that it is better to set yourself to expecting little of anything. And that's all am going to say on the matter.

It's better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and run the risk of disappointing yourself.

My expectations are so high for Vegeta defeating Freeza that if it doesn't happen I'll probably hate the movie for awhile.

You may as well get ready for that then. Toriyama won't write anything that doesn't play into established status-quo and his own retroactive vision of what DB "should be".

When has the rival ever won by himself in a movie? It's far more likely he and Goku will win together. Though the above proves my point that some people only defend the movie cause Vegeta is more important. Hell I find it pitiful that killing a bad guy is what people think is so important for a character. I mean if Vegeta gets a shit battle, little screen time, and just out of nowhere kills Freeza, would anyone be happy? Well maybe some people. Personally giving a character moments is really all they need. Killing a bad guy is not going to increase or lower a character's reception. I'd rather character growth than incinerating a big bad guy. Vegeta killing Freeza is not character growth. He's been over him for sometime and beyond securing a kill, he won't actually learn or develop as a character from it. He's seemingly set up for a possible big spotlight already, and people should be happy enough he even gets that.

If that's actually it, I can't wait to see how people say it's amazing. Only thing that has me suckered is Goku's hair spiked up as I always love how his hai does that when he transforms. Ignoring that it looks like a blue SSJ recolour.

I have low expectations because I haven't seen much that's making me think this movie will very good. So what? Should I be excited and think otherwise? No, I'll think it's going to be a disappointment until proven otherwise. It's really my way of seeing things and, quite frankly, you had no business in saying otherwise especially if I wasn't forcing my beliefs into other people.

What exactly is going on? I'm trying to go through this thread and apparently it is something that I should be excited for. All I'm summated is that we're getting new info, but I don't know how or from where.

I think the movie is going to be awesome, and if it isn't, I won't be crushed or anything. I was happy with the story ending a long time ago, so everything else is icing on the cake!

Also Golden Freeza does look pretty good as a deformed chibi toy.

Why? Toriyama used to be able to write great character arcs and not afraid to let someone else than Goku save the day. Don't blame me for expecting more of him than just "more of the same playing out like general Wikipedia description of the series".

Ain't we're past pretending that new design are anything more than 2 second recolor? If this is the new transformation it sucks, it's lazy and everyone knows it

Doubtful. SS4 Broli is new, Freeza is actually Golden Freeza in design and not just recolored, and I imagine it's hard to get that kinda shine on the blue hair for anyone looking to make a quick edit.

Wouldn't Goku have this hair color in the poster instead of red if this is something he gets with Vegeta ?

If this isn't a color mistake then is it a new form ? is it a mastered state of ssjg ? ssjg2 ?
