Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Y'all acting as if Japanese people don't have hardcore DB fan. They also have power debaters too you know.

Besides Golden Freeza, SSG Goku, *if real* Blue hair Form, and no Mystic Gohan is Globally shitty.

The blue Super Saiyan beyond god or whatever is not shitty at all. It's simple and basic like the other forms. I mean that's exactly what was said about all the other new forms, so why is now so bad for something to be simple?

Blue SSJ is about as simple, generic, unispired, lazy, weak and redundant as the fanfic/fanarts that came many years before it. Toiryama is literally not even trying anymore. SSJ was original and unique so it worked being simple as it was still different enough to be its own thing. SSJ2 for everyone in the Buu arc was literally lazy palette swaps, then SSJ3 came and became a cool distinguished form and so was SSJ4. Then SSJG came and was kind of different, but still same old and same old so a recolored base Goku, his hair doesn't even change shape, now we potentially have blue SSJ which just makes it apparanent now. Toriyama has no desire to even tremotely try to be a tiny bit creative now. He's just fine with lazy redundant recolored palette swaps that predates his own ideas by a decade ago.

After Toriyama goes through the color wheel, he'll throw us a curve ball and make Goku's skin change colors to, then repeat the process and now even his clothes change colors too. If you can't tell I'm very disappointed with Toriyama's creativity.

You do know that statement is pretty much for people who will go up in arms for this form, but say Golden Freeza and SSJ God is awesome. I just find it funny that now it seems universally agreed this new blue thing is stupid, when it's in the same ball park as SSJ God and Golden Freeza.

Ofcourse the new Saiyan beyond god isn't shitty, infact it looks better than the super saiyan god because goku's hair is going back to spiky one which i like But thats if this form was introduced in the battle of gods The problem is when you constantly are giving goku more power ups with him getting new hair colors every new movie it starts to make less sense. We don't even know what Super Saiyan god can do and we are already getting saiyan beyond god? Which is basicaly a normal super saiyan form with blue hair and blue eyes? This is starting to get lazy!

Eh it was mixed. I just saw so many people defending SSJ God and Golden Freeza for being simple. Here's another simple design where I can apply the same excuses for Golden Freeza and SSJ God, but this time is when it's bad to be simple.

Oh I'm on board that the whole thing is laughable and doesn't look good (I like the blue and Goku's hair spiking, but that's it). I just find it hilarious that "NOW" is when people finally can't take it anymore.

I couldn't take it no more when Goku and Vegeta got SSJ2(Personally thought it should be half Saiyan only or Gohan only). I also was done with transformations when every Saiyan but Goku and Trunks had hair that stands up so the transform didnt change your hair. Worked for Vegeta. Not for Gohan (praising Toriyama for getting him a haircut), Goten (GT), and GT Vegeta

Eh SSJ was never that great on Gohan, Vegeta, and GT Saiyans. Goku, Both Trunks', and hell I'd say Broly rocked SSJ better than everyone else.

Ssjg Gokû I defend because I find it appeals to my love of cute stuff and it's my favorite character who gets said cute power-up. >_>

Golden Freeza; no real opinion either way. I do like the name though.

Blue ssj is super-underwhelming and makes me disappointed because it's potentially replacing something I liked. It irritates me when stuff I like gets replaced. Why couldn't they just give it to Vegeta. Why's Gokû gotta get it too? *Sad sigh.*

This is worse because at LEAST with Golden Frieza you can tell the difference in a manga style setting. But this Blue SS? Nope you can literally draw a SS Goku, Paint his eyes, and hair blue and that will be all it needs.

Soooo...people wanna use the "Toriyama reddish-yellow-stick-riding" mindset when it comes to SSG Goku and Gold Frieza being simple, but when it comes to the blue super saiyans, they wanna hop off his reddish-yellow stick and say how shitty those forms are? Ooookay.

I don't like the forms much either, but I do say it's much better than the forms we have so far. I just wish Goku's hair was red.

I understand, but I still didn't see this coming. I really, really never saw it coming. I thought it'd be ONLY Vegeta IF anyone at all. I expected Toriyama's "no more flashy transformations" to mean no more transformations at all. That's what I was originally afraid of. Bleh, this is worse. T_T

In a way, this new form feels like it was inevitable after SSJ God became a thing. First yellow/gold, then red, and now blue. The RYB color model is now complete!

The story will be at least a little more substantial than what we've been led to believe (Everyone VS Freeza for 90 minutes! Fight!), hopefully putting some of those complaints to rest. Goten, Trunks, Yamcha, and Chaozu will appear in some capacity, hopefully putting some of those complaints to rest. I really have nothing to say about the blue hair or "surpassing God" or whatever's going on now. Despite reading every page of this thread, discussion has gotten so chatty and weird that I can't bring myself to comprehend what's going on anymore. I'd rather wait until morning and just listen to those who have seen the film.

If I had to pick a favorite part of this film's promotional campaign, it would probably be a tie between the blog updates and the audio messages from "Freeza" on the main movie site. Such a blast to follow. And what a cool way of giving us something to talk about with every passing day.

Hard to believe we have less than eight hours of speculation time. I still remember the night Jacob started this thread and we were all laughing about the upcoming chaos. Good times. But the mood around here has turned so sour and I'm beyond ready for this crap to be over. The movie itself still has me very excited, but trying to discuss things with my fellow fans has been an absolutely draining experience. I don't remember "Battle Of Gods" being like this at all. A big thanks goes out to the Kanzenshuu team for all of the translations and updates they've given us, all leading up to tomorrow morning. A big thanks goes out to everyone who kept discussion civil and tried their hardest to enjoy themselves despite everything.

I originally gave SSJG a pass since it was the first thing in a long time and seemed to fit the "Simple" trend, but blue SSJ just makes me think in retrospect how friggin lazy and half assed Toriyama has gotten. Golden Freeza at least changes his entire body into a different color scheme, but is still a palette swap too. What's next Piccolo with blue skin, red skinned Buu, Kuririn with purple hair and a nose? See where I'm going with this? I just feel like simple shouldn't equal lazy/half ass. Toriyama has a lot of creativity, i would love to see him use half of it.

This isnt going to be a manga. You wont see this form in the usual black and white manga format. Your entire point is invalid.
