What was your concept for [Super Saiyan] God’s appearance?
I was resistant to [the idea of] Goku getting more and more macho, or having a flashy transformation, so I wanted to make a course-correction. Except, visually-speaking, a Goku who doesn’t have any change at all would be difficult to understand, so I changed just his hair color and his eyes.

Will Goku be able to transform into [Super Saiyan] God in the future?
I think you’ll understand if you watch [the movie], but Goku has already absorbed [Super Saiyan] God’s power and made it his own, so there is no need for him to transform into [Super Saiyan] God. Goku basically only thinks of fighting as a sporting match, so borrowing the power of five people isn’t fair, and he resisted doing that; however, it seems his curiosity towards the realm that lay even further beyond him won out.

It honestly could just be Vegeta which is what I hope ends up happening. But I've collected a lot of dragon ball merchandise(too much) even some of those specific keychain brands and you can usually tell when it's a bootleg but those look pretty well made. Using almost the same paint type as the SSJ bardock keychain they released. I was really confused/excited for the plot of this one and thought Freeza was going to obtain God powers or a new transformation. As long as this doesn't take away from the movie it'll be even better than BOG(I hope).

Golden Freeza works given its application of regal colours, as well as providing the character with his own direct parallel to the Super Saiyan, a design which itself boiled down to "the same as before, but gold".

In that case why not have Vegeta's hair be purple If freeza had obtained God power and turned gold that would be great. If every character changes a color for a reason and Freeza's was gold because of his need to surpass the SSJ power,Vegeta's having a reason and Goku's having a reason. But at that point it's not canon, it's me making things up. As of now as far as we know he just turns gold and purple and that's it. Hopefully there is more to it. I like his aura! Also right click color fill palette swap=/= a completely different hair design+ eyes+ increased muscle mass aka "the same as before but gold".

Insulting Toriyama is one problem, but talking down to other members here is another. As per the forum rules, we all need to be respectful of each other, in addition to public figures like Toriyama.

No matter how much you try to defend this new transformation. Its still completely lame. Its almost like a joke "blue super saiyans now?" Toriayama is literaly destroying his franchise at this point. This makes me feel disgusted because it feels like some kind nightmare to me. And as much as i try not to think about this the harder it is for me to accept it.

The blue transformation hasn't even been confirmed yet, you should wait until a confirmation then you can hate as much as you want. And how does a new transformation destroy a franchise?

Its not even a new transformation, Just blue haired super saiyan which was taken from a fan art idea.

I love the simple transformations. Goku's god form was nice, NOT lazy. It wasn't even a simple palette-swap - his physique changed as well. What would've been terrible is if Goku's god form had been some over-the-top giant-haired, mega-muscled, and excessively-detailed mess. Keeping it simple but powerful was perfect.

A transformation doesn't need to completely change a character's appearance to be good.

Exactly Super Saiyan God was unique because it tried to be different from an average super saiyan forms. This form is basically going back to the whole super saiyan old spiky hair but instead now his hair is somehow blue? Ridiculous at its finest!
