THEN you kill off Vegeta again even though this film was supposed to be focused on him? No. NO. I swear to god this better be fake. I can take Trollz doll Goku and Vegeta transformations, but for godsake have this be fake.

I'm not being entitled, I'm just genuinely upset. If you state and advertise a film for being one thing and have the opposite happen, that's pretty bad. I'm not gonna demand a better movie or ending, because I'm sure it still looks cool and I'll still be immersed in the cinematic experience, but it doesn't change my initial shock and reaction.

When did they ever say the film was Vegeta-centric? People made assumptions based on one trailer. Toriyama said he'd like Vegeta to be a hero in the next movie, but also said that's not set in stone. He wanted Gohan to be the hero in DB but then felt the role wasn't suited for someone with his traits and personality.

That said, one does not need to get the Big Kill to be a hero.

I recall Toriyama stating when BoG first came out that if there was a new film it'd be focused around Vegeta? Or how the interviews said Vegeta's the star of the show? Or how Vegeta stated in Battle of Gods how he'd be the next Super Saiyan God? Or how the trailers heavily implied Vegeta would beat Freeza after Goku's down for the count? I didn't just say that out of my ass dude. This isn't just because Vegeta doesn't take down Freeza, it's because he dies again by Freeza. That's a pretty low blow to a character.

Well, no one actually said Vegeta was going to be the main star of the show, so I am not too disappointed by him not defeating Freeza. It was just fan speculation.

What I do find disappointing is the fact that he probably will get defeated by Freeza again (at least that's what is being hinted at). I mean, why make him 'equal' to Goku when he's just being used as a rag doll and not letting him get his due revenge on Freeza in some way or another. Goku/Vegeta teaming up to defeat him would have been great character development for the both of them.

I would have preferred him staying with the other fighters and defending the Earth against his former colleagues, than what we are apparantly getting now.

I'm holding out hope for this supposedly "cool" role of his in this movie.

I'm waiting until Julian confirms these rumours. Goku beating Freeza is a good thing as far as I'm concerned, about time he got a win.
Vegeta taking down Freeza was what a lot of fans expected, but Toriyama did say he hadn't decided on anything. Perhaps he'll get the win in the next movie.
I still think he'll play a huge role, we don't have all the details yet.
