Freeza beat Goku, beat Vegeta, and destroyed the Earth. Even if no one else knows it, who does?

Yeah, I think the point was to basically have both lose in a different way to show that they're still green. Both lost because they were careless/let their guard down/whatever and that they both still need training.

Beerus is still far stronger than either Goku, Vegeta, or Golden Freeza in this movie and Goku and Vegeta still have a long way to go before they're in his league

Not to mention I also got ^this from the guy who's been translating spoilers on gamefaqs.

That was still during their training. By the time they fight Freeza, they could feasibly be stronger than Beerus.

They couldn't have been training any longer than a day there before confronting Freeza, so I highly doubt it.

Not only that but if that number is true for First form Freeza, that means Gohan is weaker as an SSJ (or Ultimate if he ever uses it) than someone only slightly stronger than 2nd form Freeza. I'll leave at that as I don't want to go on and on about power levels here. I wanna try and remain solely on plot.

Vegeta took on a depleted Freeza
Goku with a seznu bean and help from Whis killed an exhausted Freeza

Why even bring Freeza back? He died accomplishing nothing with his revenge, this is bad for his character.

I agree with that, I would expect a better ending for Freeza like he's only being defeated by the Saiyans and I don't know maybe he would escape to another Universe?

IF a lot of these things we're hearing are true, then Revival of F must be one of the most fanfic Dragonball movies ever made. Action and conflict were amped to the extreme to make up for the creative shortcomings. Earth blown up. Vegeta dies (for the third time)! Human characters suddenly magically relevant for no reason. Super Saiyajin God 2 or whatever it is. Goku wins again, and again, and again...

Now that the raw details are starting to emerge, should I still be singing praises because ~~~TORIYAMA~~~ at least attempted to shit out a script? The guy knows that he can't adhere to what is already in his own manga, and after giving us a taste of his interpretation of creativity/continuity with the look of the Super Saiyajin God design and its severe implications, Freeza's revival and subsequent illogically huge power increase, the random omission of characters and general lazy writing, he now opens a door to allow everything he wants whether it makes sense or not. But why would Toriyama still care for creativity when it is so convenient to exploit all the common Dragonball clichés? The Dragon World is set to become a static world as the so-called "continuation of the manga" fails to show us a development. Always the same stories, the same adversaries, the same outcomes. I wonder how much credibility Toriyama will still throw overboard for the sake of easy writing and to please a few fanboys.

Toriyama has crossed the line this time, and in more than one respect. We've had several major breaches of continuity before, but there was always some sort of loophole to allow fans to make up twisted theories why various events would not interfere with established facts. Not that I would be perfectly okay with cheap explanations like "Goku doesn't go SSj against Uub", but at least it was possible. From now on, Toriyama won't give a damn. Why bother about established characters and concepts if you can have the much cooler blue hair SSj and pull some mysterious alien like Jaco from out of nowhere? Everything's possible from here on out.

I think I agree with something of that, it seems like Toriyama is not as excited as he was 20 years ago about DB... He just doing everything he wants, not caring about continuity and the series story as a overall

Possibly, but I really hope it's not. I don't see how forcing power level fans to have to think radically differently is a bad thing.

You can be as smug as you want acting as though you're 'above obsessing power levels'. But if the 1.37 million statement is accurate it simply contradicts the manga and is an error.

With that can we just pretend that this movie never happened and it is just a filler? I don't consider most of TOEI movies because of continuity errors and GT because of its plot holes, maybe we could do the same with this movie
