Most gags from the early parts of the manga are pretty illogical, and there's a plothole with Trunks' time travelling I think.

Goku going to the moon and back in the early manga but somehow struggling to think of how he would be able to climb all the way to Kami's lookout

The Nyoibo took him up there. He didn't climb all the way to the moon. Though the Dragon Ball plot hole in the Red Ribbon Army arc still stands. Though I guess I don't remember the full context maybe.

True but he also had to use Nyoibo to get to the lookout and how did he even survive in space for that long, also in the RR Arc how did he go to Penguin Village?

Not buying that at all considering Goku was fearful that a normal ki blast from Beerus would've easily killed him and Vegeta. Not to mention they both lose to Freeza and only start winning when he's weakened and/or his power/stamina is draining.

Not only that but if that number is true for First form Freeza, that means Gohan is weaker as an SSJ (or Ultimate if he ever uses it) than someone only slightly stronger than 2nd form Freeza. I'll leave at that as I don't want to go on and on about power levels here. I wanna try and remain solely on plot.

We don't know how long he was in space, and we have no idea where Penguin Village is. Goku I think forgot about his Nyoibo so he didn't think of using it. I only slept 3 hours last night to be apart of spoilers, so I'll need some context if I missed something.

I'm trying to reserve judgment until I actually see the movie.... but at the same time given what I've seen here I think I'll probably just skip it. Seems like a pretty big waste of time that's just there for action sake, if we got one of these every year I wouldn't mind but waiting two years for a movie that seemingly does jack and shit but action set pieces is really a big waste of everyone's time imo. Then again the whole Freeza thing was just done based on Toriyama's whim so maybe I was an idiot for staying as optimistic as I was for it.

I may skip out as well... Seeing as how what we know of the ending, it just sounds like another toei movie. But we'll see what happens if we get a sequel.

Vegeta didn't defeat Freeza in this movie and Toei movies have had Goku lose before just to make him win later on when everything was doomed.
