Were Shenron and Dende on Earth when it got blown up? How is Defeating freeza in the past gonna change the event in the future? Trunks time Line doesn't work like that right?

It seems that Whis can change events of the past without creating new timelines. Though these are just speculations now.

Cell arc relied on alternate separate timelines. What Whis does is straight up grandfather paradox mess within the same timeline if confirmed

Is it really that cheap for Freeza to blow up the planet, most people would be called smart for exploiting an opponent's weakness, shutch as needing to breathe oxygen.

Like Vegeta exploiting Freeza's transformation as it has the same weakness as his 100% power did on Namek, and taking advantage of Freeza having weakened himself after fighting Goku. But when Freeza takes advantage of Saiyan physiology, then no apparently he doesn't win. What a cheater. How dare he not fight fair.

And theirs no red card to be seen when Goku eats a senzu bean and goes back in time to a point when the guy who just beat the crap out of him was weakend from fighting to "Saiyans Beyond God" in a row.

Yeah so Goku didn't win either....what was this all about? Oh yeah. Fighting to the death. In the end Freeza killed everyone but Goku, who he probably would have killed if Vegeta didn't fight next. Considering the goal is to kill each other, I'd say Freeza pretty much won til Whis stepped in.

Agree, but there BETTER be a good pay off and all this setting up needs to amount to something. If it's Whis' game to find the next God of Destruction then so be it, or if he's trying to use Goku/Vegeta to his own purpouse. But there's gota be something other than "they all just like to fight and that's it". That stuff always felt lazy and dumbed down Goku considerably

Maybe Whis is planning to use them to defeat Gods of Destruction from the other universes? Why he even brought them up to begin with?

Who knows, maybe there is some important event, which is hinted into the scene post credits.

I don't think Goku is going to feel very good about the way he went about beating Frieza. He's one to want to win by his own power, and It just seens to me like he'd have to bite the bullet to do something like go back in time after eating a senzu bean to defeat an enemy. That's just not Goku's way. But like in BOG, he will do anything to protect his loved ones, even if he doesn't get to do things the way he wants.

I'm actually glad there are no real, complete moral victories for Goku, Vegeta and Frieza, it's more fun that way and it does feel like real battles.

3 years is not even a nap for him, so its normal thinking something big should happen.

Nah, he became a God so he could keep up with Beerus. More than protecting the earth, his goal was once again test himself and reach the next level.
Protecting the Earth, like Toriyama says, its just the bonus. Its obvious he cares about it and his friends, but not like superman.

- What's the deal with that pic of Goku and Vegeta holding hands? xD Is that how Vegeta gets his power up?

Vegeta reluctantly holds Goku's hand when they go back to the earth with instant transmission.

- Any mention of Bulma being pregnant or she wanting another baby?
- Do Trunks and Goten appear at any point of the movie? and if yes, do they look a little more grown than before? Do they actually join the fight?
- Do we see more than a flashback of Future Trunks?
- Any mention of what Tights is doing right now?
- Does Bulma actually join the fight with advanced weapons vs goons?
